Even an 8 am flight out of NY on the 10th will not arrive until the 11th. You should sort out your ticket issue as soon as you can. He's going to have to play the 11th. He'll do GMA 6am or earlier (sais on his blog), lets say he finishes 7am and takes a Jet to Sweden () then he could be in sweden by 7pm (6h time difference and 6h flight) and perform 9-10pmish! He has to play his set, get out of the middle of Manhattan during rush hour, go through airport security, etc. If he leaves the US before 9 am it will be a miracle. Since Mika isn't flying by private jet he can't get on a plane to Sweden whenever he wants. And can you really fly direct to Göteborg in 6 hours? Isn't it going to take him another couple of hours to transfer from another airport in Sweden/Europe? Realistically you are looking at at least 1 or 2 am before he could arrive at the festival. Since he has no control over flight schedules, it could be even later. I'm really sorry they've messed you around with the tickets and Mika is overbooked. It must be extremely frustrating. But either way yes I'm frustrated, it shouldn't be like this! I suppose it's possible he's flying private because it must be expensive to fly his entourage on commercial flights anyway. But I'm guessing it's about $80K+ for a return transatlantic flight and Mika's crazy if he's spending that kind of money just on flights. He says he's skint and I believe it. He's not earning any serious money yet, and these US trips are probably a loss for him up to this point. The expenses he's incurred over the past year must be astronomical, even without private jets.
