Oh and fave books of mine are: To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984 (and other various books by George Orwell), the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Chronicles of Narnia, Bridget Jones series (and other books by Helen Fielding), Agatha Christie books, Louisa May Alcott books....etc...etc...

Oh, yes, Agatha Christie is good :thumb_yello: ... satisfies my detective tendencies:mf_rosetinted: I also liked "Little Women" - so nice and innocent :)

Everyone on Earth should read

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower"

So good...

And Harry Potter of course...but I read a spoiler online that may have ruined the ending for me...

that is the most amazing book!! i loved the suicide poem!! i copied it down somewhere:boxed: hang on.....

here!!:

Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines

he wrote a poem

and he called it "chops"

because that was the name of his dog

and thats what it was all about

and his teacher gave him an A

and a gold star and his mother hung it on the kitchen door

and read it to his aunts

that was the year Father tracy

took all of the children to the zoo

and he let them sing on the bus

and his little sister was born

with tiny toenails and no hair

and his mother and father kissed alot

and the girl around the corner sent him a

valentine signed with a row of X's

and he had to ask his father what the X's ment

and his father tucked him in bed at night

and was always there to do it

Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines

he wrote a poem

and he called it "autumn"

because thats what it was all about

and his teacher gave him an A and asked him to write more clearly

and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door

because of its new paint

and the kids told him

that father tracy smoked cigars

and left butts in the pews

and sometimes they would burn holes

that was the year his sister got glasses

with thick lenses and blach frames

and the girl around the corned laughed

when he asked her to go see santa clause

and the kids told him why

his mother and father kissed a lot

and his father never tucked him in bed at night

and his father got mad

when he cried for him to do it

Once on a paper torn from his notebook

he wrote a poem

and he called it "innocence: a question"

because that was the question about his girl

and thats what it was all about

and his professor gave him an A

and a strange steady look

and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door

because he never showed her

that was the year that father tracy died

and he forgot how the end

of the Apostle's creed went

and he caught his sister

making out on the back porch

and his mother and father never kissed

or even talked

and the girl around the corner

wore too much makeup

that made him cough when he kissed her

but he kissed her anyway

because that was the thing to do

and at three am he tucked himself into bed

his father snoring soundly

Thats why on the back of a brown paper bag

he tried another poem

and he called it "absolutely nothing"

because thats what it was reallt about

and he gave himself an A

and a slash on each damned wrist

and he hung it on the bathroom door

because this time he diddnt think

he could reach the kitchen

just typing that gave me the chills!!!! i love that poem, so dramatically delicious!!!!

I read TOO MUCH.

My fav books in this years are obviously "Harry Potter"'s saga. But I love Eoin Colfer' s Artemis Fowl and Ian McEwan and Stephen King's book.

The best books are for me two:

1) The neverending Story - Michael Ende

2) Il nome della rosa - Umberto Eco

Now I'm reading "Saturday" by Ian McEwan...and I'm waiting July, 21, for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"...This will be a fatigue...all in english :boxed:

I'm currently reading "Gene" and right now I can't remember the author's name!

But on Friday night/saturday morning I'll be at a bookshop picking up my copy of the new Harry Potter and that will have all my attention until I've finished it!

CazGirl...I LOVE the Shopaholic books...I am right in the midst of reading one right now!

I am a total bookworm...I love reading books and I even have a *ahem* "reading list" where I list each book I've read, the date I started it and finished it...etc... Yeah, I'm a nerd :)

heheh I have a list too ! :naughty::blush-anim-cl: But I don't write down how long it takes me.

Right now I'm reading "Body of Evidence" From Patricia Cornwell. I love Postmortem by her, though it's a bit.. hmmm strong and shocking. Oh ! Wait ! That's why I like it ! :roftl:

Right now I'm reading the 8th, and last:emot-sad:, book in the Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oak. They are really good books if you like Christian/historical fiction with some romance. I also like to read mystery and bios if they are for people that I like.
