Hey ya people!

 

I've just discovered this thread. Let me tell you some things... hahaha

 

I've posted two times on the Mikagasmic thread, cause I thought it would be FUN. It wasn't... I've realised I didn't want to talk about Mika in that way. I really really really don't want to offence the usual Mikagasmic posters, it's just the way I feel:thumb_yello:.

 

I understand why some people like talking about Mika in that way (like he's a piece of meat, though I think this idiom is a bit too strong for that matter, but anyway). He's like you and I. We know it. But it's hard to have this in mind all the time. He's famous and somehow unreachable. I guess it feels good for some people to post "dirty" comments about him (though I think dirty is too strong too... sorry, it's hard to express properly what I mean in English...) because they feel he's nearer. I personally feels he's nearer when I talk about his songs and humour lol.

 

I think it's Mika's personality that really matters. Let me tell you something. When I started listening to Mika, I didn't find him very attractive; he was OK. Then, I discovered bits of his personality, interviews and all that stuff, and I started finding him good-looking. It's a whole!

 

Mika is a great artist. He touches me with his music, he makes me laugh etc. I respect him.

 

I completely agree with the end of your quote... I didn't really think much of Mika at all when I finally saw what he looked like... I listened to his music for about 9 months before I even knew what he looked like. :boxed:

 

It was the documentary on the DVD that started to draw me into Mikaland... and the more and more I watched on YT... the more attractive I started to find him. :blush-anim-cl:

 

His personality shines through... and that's what I began to love about him. :thumb_yello:

 

His music will always come first for me... yes I post in Mikagasmics quite abit... but I steal the pics in there more than I post... If someone does post a particularly nice pic of him.... then I'm going to comment it... mainly because now I do think he's completely gorgeous as well as exceptionally talented as a musician... :wub2:

 

And ok.... you can shout me down for this... but posts like these get on my nerves....

 

To summarize the "lovely" comments that have been posted so far ....

for your birthday, this is what I want:

 

 

Instead of finishing and recording a new album, please make a porn video.

If people prefer to vulgarize completely innocent and whimsical bloggettes, that is their loss. These are useless attempts at humiliating and diminishing the person.

 

Sorry I read that entire thread... and I don't remember anyone asking Mika to make a porn video... and nowhere did I see anyone say Music Is Opitional.... sorry this post has been bugging me all day... You can have your views... but I'm sick of holier than thou attitudes like this. I don't think there's anyone who posts on here who doesn't absolutely love Mika's music first and formost and is waiting with bated breath for album number 2.

 

And personally I absolutely love all of Mika's blogs and don't think they've been vulgarized in anyway... I think some people need to take a chill pill.... :wink2:

It wasn't working very well... but I've now got an Ipod so have taken all my music off of it... so it's all good again now.... :wink2:

 

More room for Mika pics anyway... well until' I can print them out... :wub2:

Once I saw Mika's personality: his hilarious sense of humour, his genuineness, his kindness, his energy and his perseverance, I began to notice his beauty. I find this a lot in life - once you see things you like about a person, they become physically attractive to you too.

I'm not in love with Mika, I don't drool over pics of his body - for me he's an inspiration, and having had the chance to talk with him, I see that he's a lovely, respectful, warm person. This makes me enjoy his music even more. I enjoy his blogs because his personality comes through, and he gives us a glimpse into his life.

Yeah, I love seeing snippets of his real life!

 

Oh, one thing I want to add - I don't in any way judge or criticise people who really enjoy watching the mud thing....that's their prerogative, lol. To be honest I find their posts entertaining :bleh: I don't think Mika would be offended by it - like some people have said, he's the one who made the videos, and he's certainly smart enough to anticipate reactions. In fact, when he takes his shirt off at gigs and all that, I get the impression that he's taking the piss out of himself...it's like he doesn't really believe that people find him attractive.....which of course, is rubbish. He is totally an attractive guy. In fact, the first time I showed a vid of one of his performances to my sis and my friend (a straight guy), the first thing both of them said was "he's really handsome". So there, Mika :thumb_yello:

Yeah, he certainly likes playing to the crowd! :wink2: I have read (can't remember where now) about him saying things like he thinks he's odd-looking and that fame and success won't change the fact that he'll never find himself attractive....I don't know.

maybe we should start a thread for Meeks: You're Beautiful. :roftl: that could get a bit dodgy.........lol.

First of all i think this thread is great but i must say that we all respect mika in our own way and i understand that some peoples views of respect might be a bit vulger and stuff but are we really getting anywhere by just bringing up these comments we seem to agree are not as respectful as the writer may have intended...i suggest we all say why we respect mika...he is an amazing person and we sometimes forget why we were ever attracted to his music and personality in the first place (well i guess i can only speak for myself, but im assuming others feel that same way

 

so anyway i respect mika because he doesnt try to be anyone but himself and i feel he truely knows who he is and thats something most people never accomplish in their lifetime
