But I think there's just such a story behind their drawings, and they're brilliant. How about all the Billy Brown maze innuendos on the DVD? The tree? The director guy? Whatever else. RAK1 Posted November 18, 2007 Share Posted November 18, 2007 You know I can't recall seeing anything talking about the art work,except the thread about the exhibition, but I don't think it really touched on the art in detail. I really love the fact that Yasmine hand painted every little detail, it must have taken an age to do that, and it looks so beautifully done, she is incredibly talented, it would be great to see her do her own thing and have her own exhibition at some stage. Don't get me wrong Mikas sketches are fantastic and brilliantly drawn, but they come to life when the colour is added. I guess that you can't have one without the other, so tney make a great team. hotdlp Posted November 18, 2007 Share Posted November 18, 2007 the artwork is another reason why i like mika's music more .. it just makes it so creative and colourful! u don't find that much in songs and i love how he uses art work for the cd sleeves rather than just pictures of his face (not there's something wrong with his face, its beautiful lol) its just common to have a photo of yourself on the cd cover.. but with the artwork it just looks so much better, and great to put on display, my wall is very colourful thanks to him Yasmine is a very talented young lady.. and like Rak1 said it would be great if she had her own exhibition i would love to see more of her stuff. The first time I heard about Mika, I tried to find something about him in internet, and when I found his website I totally fell in love with the artwork. Firstly was the music, later the artwork. I bought the CD and later i could see that the paintins were fantastic. So pop! colorful! naif! It was like a found the PERFECT SINGER. I like his music and all the world that he created around it. I am a person that like all this sort of stuff.I studied graphic design (and journalism) and I use to put attention to the packaggings in general.And the Mika's one really touched me! People know that Mika can be one of my favourite singers only for the way that looks his CD artwork hhahahaaaa So, congratulation to his sister for all the talent that she has.
