While I LOVE the fact he likes to be close to us and include us....the jumping over the barriers is a VERY bad idea. I've been crushed by crowds twice, and both times it was an extremely frightening experience. People can literally die like that. Hope someone talks to Mika about this....and that they schedule people to come on at the end, like they do with BG and LPGs they pick from the fans. Of course, all the people chosen should be MFC'ers. No Mika-pression for me yet. I'm still floating on a cloud thinking of it all. Philly was so awesome. XD I'm sure that if you wait a day or two and let everybody get home and recover a bunch of vids ad pics will pop up. mandilambi Posted February 4, 2008 Share Posted February 4, 2008 I think the idea of having fans on the stage is nice....but it needs to be coordinated ahead of time. When Gwen Stefani did that on her HL tour, she had her body guard and other staff choose the people to come up. They would go around during the gig asking if they wanted to come up during the encore and if they wanted to they would help them up. I never heard of anyone getting hurt during that (granted, her shows were not gen ad either)....but at least it was better planned out. How did that happen? Well... who knows? It was, as they say, a Mika Miracle! So... by now you've heard the basics... How Holly, cheeseygoodness and Finkster were there BEFORE OhDarkThirty and managed to attract Jerry's (Mika's manager's) attention. And how it was cold, cold, oh so cold, did I mention it was COLD? And how some girls from the venue provided us with hot chocolate and munchkins, and how Mika came out for 10 minutes... So... what can I tell you new? Well, I have a few queue pics: And then let's see... I can embellish on Jack's talk with Andy. He LOVED her card and pseudo "fluffy" I took the MFC poster I had made to everyone to get their signatures... at one point I walked all the way down the queue, probably a couple hundred people at that point, looking for MFCers to sign it. You won't be surprised to hear that I didn't find anyone after the first 75 or so! Yes! We were there in force, and were there in front! What does that tell you about us? ("Are we not a bit obsessive...?") I wanted to say, though, that while I was happy to meet all the MFC'ers, I didn't want to push myself onto anyone... didn't want anybody to feel like I was "moderating" the queue or moderating them in real time -- I hope you all know I was trying to give you space, and not ignore you! I was so glad that you were all there, even if I can't remember all of your names ... Once we got inside, I was lucky enough to get front row next to our lovely Oldling Titty. It was a great spot to see Mika, but we really had a poor view of Mikey and Cherisse... and really couldn't see much of Martin or poor Luke back there, either... Titty and I both showed our age by wondering if Midway State were performing more than one song? Each song sounded exactly like the one before it to us. Forgive us... the boys were cute, but... we are Oldlings they seemed too loud to us, and too repetitive. Sorry, Boys! The Show was amazing! a little different from the gig in Philly but brilliant! I'll admit that i did giggle a bit at mika's face when he dropped the microphone during relax? (or was it big girl?). He made the cutest "oh well" face. haha. Anyways, best part was after the show, waiting for what seemed like eternity for mika behind terminal 5. I met up with Lucy for a bit, then pushed the trash out of the way with the help of cheeseygoodness (? i believe thats her name here...i know shes from fort lauderdale! lol and she was soo nice). So after that we swapped mika stories and showed off our pictures to each other. Good fun. Anyways, mika came out....and i actually didnt realize it because Perez Hilton came out first! and my friend and i were like "omg perez!" haha. But then i was like "omg mika!" and we focused back to him haha. Mika signed my cartoon animal mask that i wore during lollipop! i then told him how much i luv'd the show in Philly and he seemed soo surprised i was there as well. (aww) haha. So my night was made, as well as my friends because it was her first mika show (even tho she's liked him forever too), so she got her autograph too. After all that, i saw Cynthia (whom i had met for the first time in Philly) she is the nicest person! and i saw Morrina (sp?) too! Those girls are awesome! it was sad to say goodbye to Lucy, Cynthia and Morrina(sp?) because we'd seen each other in Philly and then in NYC and it was a like a fun trip coming to an end. so that was my night. absolutely awesome! (i know some people where looking for the video of Lollipop from NYC and that most people couldnt record it or take pictures because we were all getting trampled on or trying to get on stage (ahah crazyyyness) but i know someone who got footage of it and hopefully sometime this week i can put it up on You Tube! i'll let you know when that happens) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thanks for helping to convince me to stay even though at some points I was going to walk off because I couldn't handle the security yelling at us like that anymore and how they were trying to kick us away no matter where we were. I'm sorry I didn't get to say bye to you! Hey Jen!! I am so happy to say hello now!! I know , that night was so exciting and then it was so late and raining so I stopped by to Mika to say hi and i grabbed a taxi , you were still on the line , but I knew , at this moment, you were so so happy. it is a pity you missed martin , i saw him passing just close to you:wink2: , and i remember when you took your lovely picture with Luke! I was upset about that, and security was kicking everyone off the floor. Holly, Alex, Lucy and I were walking out of the venue, and I met mjoshi and Shelby (my_rainbow_radio) on our way out very briefly. It was nice seeing you guys! Alex wanted a few pictures with the boys from Midway State. On our way out I found my coat and stuff, and we all went toward the back to meet Mika. I ran into Tracy and she said she saw Holy Johnny with my sign and asked if he would give it to her. He asked her if she made it and she told him no, but he was like, “It’s incredible, great job! Thanks!” and walked away. Haha While we were waiting for Mika to come out, we saw Holy Johnny. Tracy told me that she saw him afterwards. We called him over and Tracy told him that I was the one who made the sign, and he gave me a thumbs up saying it was awesome. Haha I’d say after about an hour of waiting, Perez Hilton came out, and right after Mika. I could tell that Mika was in a hurry, security informed us they were going to an after party somewhere, so I decided not to ask Mika to sign anything for me, but to instead exchange a few words and ask for a hug. When he came to me I asked if he liked my sign (What a dumb question) and he said “Yes! It was amazing, thank you! I loved it.” (As if it puts THAT much work into my sign…) And I asked him for a hug, and he said “Oh, of course!” But signed a few things for the people next to me, and I asked him once more and he said, “Oh, I’m sorry! Of course!” and gave me a hug. Tracy’s friend took a picture of me hugging Mika and is going to send it to me. And yea…that concludes my long report.. The end!
