I used to work for a guy who somehow managed to make it to the UK from Canada without his passport and talked them into allowing him into the country. He went to Canada House in Trafalgar Square and the consulate got him a passport so he could catch his connecting flight to Germany within 6 hours of when he arrived at Heathrow. Christine Posted February 18, 2008 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Why didn't Cherisse just do that?!?! The nearest British consulate was probably hours away in Seattle so there was no time. I don't know why the Brits let my scatterbrained boss into the UK without a passport, but I'm not surprised the Canadians wouldn't let Cherisse in. Canadian customs officials are generally power tripping jerks and it doesn't surprise me that they were also hassling Greg Wells. Very typical. I got the same third degree when I moved back to Canada from the UK. They were asking me how long I planned to stay, etc. and I basically told them it was none of their business and I would stay or go whenever I felt like it. If they wanted to search my luggage or whatever to give me a hard time they could knock themselves out, but they can't refuse me entry into my own country. I guess Greg Wells had to be a bit more accommodating because they could have detained them all long enough to delay the show and caused a lot of problems for Mika and the rest of the band.
