Sarina Posted November 11, 2012 Share Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Just a short short report for this gig...I was really far from the stage this time and I couldn't see the scene very well (I'm short sighted..you know ). The stage was so nice and SO closed to the crowd (I bet it was amazing to be in the front row!), Mika seemed a little tired and his voice was not at the top but he did his best as usual, he sang the italian chorus of stardust very very well (I guess he studied A LOT!) and I appreciate his effort and he also said few words in italian during the gig. From what I saw the crowd was happy about the show There was a small M&G for someone who won tickets and for some others there but of course we were outside in the street to wait for DA man! It was completely dark (strange..the same thing happened in Padova but even worse )...we waited a lot and in the end he came out. The queue was not organized and everyone rushed to reach Mika, the manager was near him and he helped him to sign using a torch (yes it was THAT dark!)...Mika was really kind even if he said immediately he had to go to bed. I've asked him to sign the XL column about parfumes and I told him I gave him the tip via twitter and the most important thing is that he said that he will write for XL again! We also gave him a present which was a book with photos made by some italian fans. Each one of us chose a pic of the place where we live plus a small description and we put all together to create our version of Italy. And the audience was amazing, everyone went absolutely mental when he sang the Italian lyrics, and pretty much for the whole last four songs. There was a great atmosphere. I had such a great time, I had more space than in Padova and I danced like a mad woman He changed the setlist slightly from Padova. There he opened with BIOTG, here it was Relax. And on Friday he did Toy Boy but here unfortunately he didn't. I found how well EMD went down hilarious, an Italian crowd going crazy during a French song! Celebrate was probably the one that the crowd loved the most though. The Roman crowd loved the Italian lyrics more than Padova, in general I had the impression that they were more enthusiastic, but that might've been because the people around me were. There was a great atmosphere. At the end he pulled out a 'grazie' sign from his hat, much to the appreciation of the crowd. The girls had handed them out here too, and they did a great job. Things didn't go well after the show though, no barriers or any kind of organisation. So when Mika showed up everyone basically pounced on him, crowding around. I decided to stay out of the way with the others, I didn't fancy trying to push my way through the crowd. I'd like to thank everyone who made this past weekend so wonderful, I had an amazing time!
