Une soirée redoutée par les participants, mais aussi par les coachs qui peuvent se retrouver sans talents pour la suite de l'aventure, car c'est le public qui vote pour son artiste préféré. Pour la première battle de la soirée, c'est Mika qui a choisi d'affronter Bigflo et Oli. Mia : Ça a été un challenge parce que la musique, elle a sa notoriété, elle est classique. Et là, j'ai voulu la présenter d'une manière assez revisitée. Peu de monde connait cette version, mais moi je trouve que la version est beaucoup plus parlante. Du coup, quand je l'ai préparée, je devais m'identifier à la personne que j'étais avant et la nouvelle personne que je voulais présenter aujourd'hui. Je l'ai pris comme un challenge personnel. Est-ce qu'il y avait une personne contre qui vous aviez vraiment peur de tomber ? Moi, j'avais peur de tout le monde. C'est ça mon plus grand problème. Ils ont tous leur univers à part entière, il n'y avait pas de compétition en mode, on est au-dessus de chacun par rapport à la voix ou autre. Vu qu'on était tous tellement différents, on avait tous peur, beaucoup moi d'ailleurs, que notre univers ne plaise pas et qu'on préfère un univers à un autre. Avez-vous eu peur de laisser votre destin au public ? Je me suis dit : "C'est maintenant ou jamais, maintenant je peux montrer qui je suis et voir si ça plaît". Pourquoi avoir choisi cette chanson ? Je l'avais déjà chantée sur les réseaux sociaux et elle me va bien parce qu'elle montre la voix de poitrine, la voix basse, et aussi la voix de tête. Ça va très haut et ça va très bas ! Avec Mika, on avait tous les deux envie que je l'interprète pour cette super cross battle. Il me comprend car on partage la même identité vocale, on a beaucoup de points communs. C'était un choix très audacieux... Oui, on a évidemment pensé à Grégory Lemarchal et à Daniel Balavoine et on s'est dit qu'il ne fallait pas se louper ! Au début de la prestation, Mika vous a dit de respirer. Vous étiez stressé ? Oui j'étais assez stressé parce que j'avais le souvenir de ma cross battle sur Chandelier de Sia qui ne s'était pas très bien passée. J'avais été qualifié avec 55% des voix mais je n'étais pas bien pendant la prestation. Ça serrait sur les notes aiguës. S.O.S. d’un terrien en détresse me correspond beaucoup plus vocalement.
