On the vh1 countdown thingy, Mika is back to having the ice cube icon by his name. And we all know that's wrong because the boy is HOT so lets get voting for him

no, that is wonderful! how exciting it is just SO amazing for those us in the united states who have been waiting for him to get recognition over here and its happening!

Alot of valid points here. I think being bullied by peers can be devastating as a child, so I do believe that did negatively affect him. However, Mika seems alot better off than the average kid being teased at school, because his parents had the resources to take him out. Also, he *seems* (and i say seems because i don't personally know him and therefore cannont say for sure) to have had a stable home life. His parents (and siblings and extended family) seem to be supportive and good people. So all of that helped. I think it's great that he can seem so happy and well adjusted now despite a rough childhood in many ways. But then again, you can see a darker sad side to him on certain songs like over my shoulder, and a few outtakes. (like intoxicated if you've heard it) lol @ the snobbish comment. you're right, the thing about the shirt does seem a tad snobish. but i mean, he grew up richer than most of here i'm sure, so it's natural that he might be a little discerning. But i have to say he seems remarkably down to earth for a guy with an affluent upbringing.

i play the flute too!!! heheh, there's alot of us floutists here. i desperately want to learn the piano.. and i would love to play some mika on it! i printed out the music to grace kelly but haven't been brave enough to attempt it thus far

haha! you guys crack me up. well, i guess i was a little late to hear about this. but stiilllllll. way exciting. whenever i see mika's commericial or video on tv or whatever, i'm just so proud of him! it's almost like he's my kid brother that i've been waiting to make his big break for years now. hahhaha. to answer the spidey question: it's pretty cheesy! i was laughing at parts that weren't supposed to be funny because the dialouge could be *that* bad at times. still, it was enjoyable. action and whatnot was good, and it was amusing.

soooo, i'm in the theatre today to see spidey 3 aaand, i'm watching the previews, and this one about these two guys who pretend to be gay- jessica biel and adam sandler are in it but i forget the title- but anyway, i hear GRACE KELLY playing on the preview and i'm like OMG!!! and i'm with my friend who isn't a big fan of mika but i was like freaking out. i was soo excited! here in the US mika is just starting to get known, and so this was a big deal! i was like eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I've loved mika since january, and i probably was literally one of the first people in the US to like him at that point, LOL now most of my friends know OF him (whether or not they like him is a different story, ha) mostly b/c of me talking about him all the time, but alot of them have seen commericials, the motorla commercial, etc. i've even managed to convert a few friends, hurrah!

LOL this so applies to me.. people are always like.. hey i saw a mika commercial and i thought of you or hey i heard mika's song on tv and it reminded me of you etc.. haha. it's awesome.

It's simply a disclaimer. It's not unfriendly. As far as I'm concerned, I don't see why we shouldn't have room for all discussions in this forum. OK. you're from England and you're asking that question?? you've GOT to be kidding. Ya know, it's crazy how much the Beatles are ingrained into our society. I just really started getting into the Beatles a few years ago, like junior year of high school, and when i started listening to their cds, i was always so suprised hearing stuff i never knew was them. like "they sing THAT?" cause it's stuff you've heard, you've heard it in stores, on tv commercials, in movies, and probably just randomly with people playing it. it's funny how their are even so many references about them. Just watch the simpsons, for example, and you'll see homer's band doing a rooftop concert on mo's (reference to the beatles rooftop concert, lol)
