  1. Oh, I meant to mention, we should have the group photo(s) in the next day or two. The photographer has sent them over to Mika's team, and I guess they want to go through them first before sending them on to us. So... a little more patience!
  2. Well, I'm finally back -- don't have the brain power to write a full report just yet, as I'm jetlagged to the max plus full of a cold. But I have read through the thread and wanted to share a few comments, and a few pics/videos for now. First off, thanks to everyone for being so great -- you really are a fantastic group of mf'ers to hang out with! Thank you Andrea @Hero for helping to organize our pizza party on Tuesday night! Thank you @Anilado for your company on the train. Thank you @tiibet and @camille* for meeting me at the train station and getting me to the hotel! Thank you @Anna Ko Kolkowska for the great fan action idea. Thank you @Romy04 and @Mamy Ma for helping this artistically challenged person with flower-making. Thank you @kath for your help getting into the show! Thank you @mellody for being a great roommate and just generally supporting me in everything. And I'm sure there are reasons that I should thank all the rest of you individually, but my brain is fuzzy now so please forgive me and know that I am grateful for all the moments that I shared with all of you over a few priceless days in Bristol! About the show -- we couldn't have asked for better support from the Bristol Sounds team, from their social media crew to security and event staff. How lucky we were that they were so kind to us, and willing to tolerate a bunch of crazy super-fans! I won't go into specifics, but it was fabulous to see Mika perform live like this again. I'll have more words later. Until then, a few photos and short videos. First, my best photos that would be appropriate for "Bab's Album" -- and for those of you who haven't been here that long, you should check out Bab's Album here for a laugh. As I'm short, I always want to stand in the front row, but sometimes even standing right up front doesn't help! Mika is back there somewhere, you can see a green sequined leg! And the infamous slice of pizza. Those of you I spoke with after already heard the story -- but here it is again. A young boy, maybe 11 or 12, wormed his way to the front row between Karin and me. I let him stay, trying to be a good mama, but I lived to regret it. First he was waving his cell phone in front of my face, taking video. I finally told him I didn't mind if he stayed, but he had to keep the phone down. He did, mostly, but then after seeing people throw various things on stage (including a cell phone! did they not see how badly Bebe Rexha just was hurt from that?!), he got the idea to throw a slice of pizza on stage. So he waved that around in front of me for a good 15 minutes. When he turned to ask his mother somewhere behind us whether he should throw it, I told him NO and had him drop the pizza over the barrier, not under my feet. But not before it ended up in several of my videos and photos. OK, OK... enough clowning around. Seriously, here are a few shots -- not Nina-quality, but good enough. More later... 3. Bumping as we have lots of new members and the Covid situation has improved!
  4. Hi Viktoria ! I think we met the other day? Mika often comes out after his shows to say hello to the fans. But an organized meet & greet like the one in Bristol is rather rare. To be included you have to be a registered member of this forum and usually it’s a good idea to RSVP to the gig's list on our event calendar. Usually we don’t know whether the meet will actually happen until the very last minute. There’s usually a limited number of spaces at these meets. This time we had 30 spots. So try as hard as we can to be fair. It’s not a perfect system but we try. You can read more about meeting Mika here:
  5. Greetings from 30,000 feet! Another couple hours before my plane lands and I touch down in London! So excited I can’t stand it All the paper flowers look great. I brought tissue paper so we’ll see what can make of that. Real flowers have been ordered and are supposed to be delivered to Mika’s dressing room by mid-afternoon on Wednesday. Should look something like this only bigger! https://www.lesfleursbristol.co.uk/product-page/colourful-spring-bouquet-1 looking forward to seeing a lot of you tomorrow night for PIZZA! And the rest of you on Wednesday for MIKA! Could this week get any better?
  6. Kath is coming! I wasn't sure! Happy to be seeing you soon! I hope it all works out for all of the Italian fans! These strikes are so frequent anymore!
  7. BRISTOL FANS! Awaiting confirmation on whether there will be a meet & greet with Mika after the show, HOWEVER, if there is one, it will only be for a limited number of Mika Fan Club fans. If you would like to be considered for the meet & greet, please send an email with BRISTOL in the subject line to this email address: mfc.contest@gmail.com In the email please include both your real name and your MFC user name, and mobile number. We will include as many fans as possible, but please understand that due to space and other constraints we may not be able to include every MFCer at the show, so will give priority to UK-based fans. Deadline for sending email: 11:59pm UK time on MONDAY, 19 JUNE! If you are selected for the meet & greet, you will receive a confirmation email. Good luck!
  8. Moving this to NEWS as it's not a concert. Also adding it to the calendar.
  9. Not weird at all! We are always happy to welcome new fans here! Looking forward to meeting you as well!
  10. OK @Chiara 83 so it's all OK? you don't need me to send it for you?

  12. It's just for Italian fans, sorry! Please get your videos in early! I know they'd like as much time to edit them as possible!
  13. OK, so for real flowers, since we're short on time (at least I am!) I'll see if we can get them delivered and order some, and will collect from everyone once there. Also, I've seen that Bristol Sounds finally published their FAQ: https://mailchi.mp/crosstownconcerts/bristol-sounds-2023-info Some of the most relevant points: The bar and food court area will open every week day at 5pm to the general public, no ticket necessary until 30 minutes before official door opening time. No food or drink can be brought into the site – but please feel free to bring your own empty water bottles as free water is available on site. Please note all bars are CARD PAYMENTS ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT BRING:- Flags - Chairs - Any professional recording equipment or cameras - Dogs (yes , some people think you can!) - Any food or drink (bars and food units are available) - Umbrellas (they make it impossible for people behind you to see, sorry) - Anything that could be used as a weapon - Sensible sized back packs and bags will be allowed but will be searched at the main entrance in the interest of everyone’s safety.
  14. I love cheesecake, so OK, outrageously good cheesecake for me, if you need to pre-order it. Otherwise I'll take my chances. And thanks for getting the time extended @Hero. I think we'll end up there until 10 at least! About the flowers -- I have lots of tissue paper, but no skill or time... I'll try to do something ahead of time, if not I'll at least bring the paper. Thanks, @Anna Ko Kolkowska ! Now... about REAL flowers? Someone asked me if we wanted to give Mika some. It's not something we usually do at a festival, but I suppose we could order some if you want? LMK!

  21. Thank so much @goose! This is super helpful, and makes me feel less nervous about the size of the place! Can't wait to meet you and everyone else ! I'll be leaving for London a week from today!
  22. Thanks so much, Andrea! I appreciate you taking the time! It sounds perfect. They don't require a deposit, do they? I'll have a Proper Margherita pizza with red onion and olives (if they're black, if they're green no). @tiibet- have a look at the menu, they not only do gluten-free dough, they have lots of veggie options that sound good, and sound like they'd be willing to work with you. Can't wait to see everyone! And @Anna Ko Kolkowska the flowers look great. I'll see what paper I have here. Do you think tissue paper will work, or does it need to be stretchy like crepe paper?
  23. I think the flowers are a great idea, Anna, but you know how crafty (NOT) I am. I'm willing to buy crepe paper and help however I can, though. I just have very little time between now and Monday, the 19th, which is when I leave for London.
  24. As far as how many, I'd say 15-20 sounds about right, based on feedback we've had here. Only 14 have RSVPed on the calendar, but I guess that some of those won't be there the night before, as they live locally. I've tweeted about it, but I have 13 names that I think are pretty sure so far. Who am I missing? Deb Andrea Karin Rose Chiara Deb (frenchfan84) Prisca Fanny Mara Nina Ani Camille Anna I agree with Karin about the time - I think 7pm for dinner sounds about right. If anyone is around they can always drop in to the restaurant early to have a drink, right? As far as where, I think if you start calling 1-2 places to find availability, the "where" will sort of be decided for you. My vote goes for the Stable pizza place as it seems big enough, has a good menu, seems to be near the water, and PIZZA. But as I said before I'm flexible, so wherever we end up will be fine with me. Thanks!
  25. Yes, I tend to agree -- I don't think we can or should post every single time someone plays a Mika song on the radio.
