    I find Last Party depressing and Apocalypse Calypso takes me so high I fly (like Tomorrow but in a different way anf even higher...I was afraid because I usually find French too "flat" but Mika shakes French up beautifully. It's ok if we all don't feel the same way about Mika's songs. I think it depends on the way a song echoes in us both at the lyrics and mellody level which depends on our personal history/background/ears and many other things. I love it when I feel instant love for a song. And I'm a bit sad if I don't. But there are many songs to be released in this album so it's like a box of chocolate I'm sure you will love some songs that we don't have a clue aboht yet And after that there will be an album in English as well so don't worry I am totally honeymooning when Mika releases a new album and each time I am bursting with joy because he takes me higher with each album. This guy is magic There is a song dedicated to Mika's mum in the album. Maybe that one will be the one that will make yoh melt

    Don't worry we all react in different ways to different Mika's songs. There are some I always skip because they either make me feel sad or simply because I don't connect to them. For example Dear Jealousy is loved by many but left me cold and it took the Beirut concert to make me like Promiseland. Even Mika said it was ok not to click with his songs..Love Todsy and Blame it on the girls are songs I skip all the time. Some took a while to grow on me. Others are instant love and that is a blessing when it happens. And there are twelve songs in the album so I'm sure there will be songs you click with among them And the album in English won't take long to.come out as Mika has been recording in studios everywhere he was touring Sex and food is better than sex, drugs and rock'n'roll as for some stars

    Well each time I get Gainsbourg vibes from Mika I love it. And his voice is so sweet and it's like my beloved Tomorrow (sexy lyrics, mellody to die for) with a side of Last Party (wrap your against everybody because it's the end of the world concept and also the way the melllodu develops and takes you high and I can totally feel the resist with beauty and poetry vibe because this song is like Dancing with tears in my eyes and finding confort into the arms /love/physical presence/warmth of tge person you love and whom you love when the world outside is so harsh that love is the drug that keeps you going (as in Origin of Love) And love as the way to resist and stay alive even in the middle of a fire that destroys everything around you (Mika and his family losing their foundation especially Mika) but after mourning if you have survived you want to feel alive and be close to the ones you love and live more , as much as you can enjoy the good sides of life while you are still around to live. I really feel this so much in this song. A rage to live at the most, no pretence, just going for life. And I relate to that. Life is short and go for it. And also love conquers everything and can save everything. It's a pride song and a very sweet love declaration too. (To life, to one's lover) This song is so genuine and Mika is not afraid of life anymore as he sings in C'est la vie and encouraging everyone not to be. He also says look at me in both songs that's another similarity I'm so glad we have MFC and this thread because that song moves me at many levels and I cried joyful tears and stayed awake all night listening to it. and I could talk about it for hours.I do blush when he sings "b♡♡♡♡♡" ("f♡♡♡) but his voice is so beautifully sweet that yes it can be a love word too and he has dared to do it so I admire him for breaking that music bareer. I know he also loves urban music and I do too and some rap love songs with rude words can be so heartfelt and I think the love vibe is there alive and kicking.
