You know, I stayed up real late last night and tried to watch an ep of Hollyoaks on BBC America.... LOL...didn't get past the first 10 minutes of it.

You know, for those of you who don't get BBC America, Graham Norton also airs on the Logo channel, but I'm not sure when the Mika ep will air.

I've been thinking about this for a while...The reason why I've stuck with Mika for so long isn't because of his looks and style...it's his kindness and personality (and music!). When I read about what those girls said at GMA in the first post, my first thought is that they are EXTREMLY immature. And if they think that saying those things will get Mika's attention, they are dead wrong...Sure, he'll hear it, but he'll ignore it and brush it off. He's a person too and people need to remember that. He has moods and feelings like everyone else...What those girls need to realize is that they aren't talking to a picture of Mika, they are talking to HIM. So yeah, that's my two cents And you can add me to that wonderful list...I too respect Mika.

From a marketing standpoint, this will NO DOUBT get "Big Girl" to Top 30 on I-Tunes downloads. AS SOON as a song is featured on one of those shows, you see a MAJAH increase in downloads the next day. This will give him the promo he needs in the US, most definetly...Though, it's a shame this couldn't have been done with Grace Kelly.

For the upcoming season of "Ugly Betty," ABC produced a music video with British pop singer Mika, who re-recorded his hit single "Big Girl" with new lyrics. The music video -- which features Mika recording the new version of the song "Betty Girl," footage from his "Big Girl" video and scenes from Season 1 of "Betty" -- will premiere Thursday on ABC.com. The song also will be featured on-air in ABC's promo spots for "Betty." --- I'm not sure what the source is, but I'll get it momentarily.... But it's good news and my launch Mika into ATLEAST semi-sucess in the US...All th otehr songs that were featured on the ABC shows got great downloads....so...wish Mika luck on this! Ugly Betty is such a good show, too!

I just wanna see how many people went to the GMA performance who couldn't make the secret gig at Highline. I wanted to go SOOOOO bad (it was once in a lifetime "secret gig" show!!) but I think my aunt and sister were tired and wanted to avoid the rush hour traffic getting home (we took the train, but there's STILL lots of people who take that home. Coming home I was devistated I missed it...but then I remembered that I DID get a chance to get about 5 feet away from Mika as he was exiting the studio and I got a little head nod from him after waving to him, too! So, that sufficed....BUT STILL, you KNOW!?!

He sold just over 100,000 album copies, which isn't too great...but the thing is is that US radio REFUSES to play him, which is prolly why the sales are down so much...cause he HARDLY gets the exposure he desearves over here. I swear, the US music industry is soooo boring...Not JUST becuase Mika isn't in it, but it just seems so cookie-cuttered and has "typical" artists. So many great bands from Europe and such being missed over here because the US is just too close-minded. Sorry, I just had to get that all out.

It's gonna be a 2 day performance! WOW! Does he sometimes add cities to that list, or is that the final edit? I guess you haven't seen him yet. Mika DOES need to go to more places in the US, he really does!

I mean we got Lolliopop Girls, Big Girls....why not some Billy Browns or something? haha. Mika asks people from the audience to play these roles on stage and they are always girls....Mika should consider in the future involving some guy characters or SOMETHING....the girl Mika fans are lucky! But all the male Mika fans (including myself) wanna have a chance to dance on stage with Mika! Hope ya understand what I'm sayin. Since this board is about 95% girls, I dunno how far this thread will go.

Even though I didn't TALK to him, while he was leaving GMA out the side studio entrance, I gave him a small wave and smiled...he glanced over, looked right at me and gave me a nod....VERY SURREAL! He was about 5 feet away from me. Go to the members only section to see the rest of my pics.
