I was planning on attending the show in Toronto last October.

But it was on our Thanksgiving weekend & my Family wnet sort of nuts when i tried to explain why I would be missing the Family gathering for that holiday.

I cancelled the show. I attended Thanksgiving dinner & was very unhappy & apparently displayed my disappoinment. Hahaha!

I should have gone to seee Mika.

Next time though - I am there!

Yes, I was one of the thousands at the Toronto Airport to see The Beatles arrive in Canada for the first time. It was outside & it was amazing. I was fourteen years old. Girls were fainting. Boys & girls were screaming. I can still visualize a lot of the details. It is like a video in my head. I can't believe we were so close to them as they came down the stairs of the airplane. It was also the first time I heard a girl use the "F" word. I was so innocent that I was shocked that a female would use that word. Hahaha! It was mad!!

I have just been very busy with Christmas & all.

Plus I don't know if you have noticed but tempers seem to be flairing around the threads here lately.

I decided to refrain from commenting before I started to criticize the negativity or started being negative myself. Hahaha!

Just that Jim was told that his Aunt & Uncle were not privy to what was said between the Queen, Prince Philip & the performers. If it was on satge they couldn't hear any of it from where they were sitting.

Jim's Aunt & Uncle, of course, had no clearance or opportunity to watch the reception line where the Queen & stars gathered & met.

I really hope Mika met Whoopi.

Carla please don't address me as "dear sir." I didn't think we were that formal with each other.

Okay - here is the scoop:

The bit about the Queen thinking Mika didn't smell as bad as the first time she met him I made up & was joking as well as her majesty saying Rain was a little repetitive - just me with my odd sense of humour.

The declaring that both Mika & Lady GaGa's performances were brilliant is that an aunt & uncle of a dear friend of mine live in Blackpool & were in the audience. I had my friend before hand describe & name Mika & Lady GaGa so they would pass onto us how they were. They are too old to really appreciate them especially Lady GaGa but assured us that the audience went nuts for both of them. Jim's Aunt did think Mika was cute & very tall. Hahaha!

Hey huikings you are very welcome. I am just an enthusiastic guy who likes to celebrate good things.

You won't believe this - No - I have NOT attended a Mika concert - yet!

I was planning to see Mika when he was in Toronto in October but that weekend was our Thanksgiving. When I even suggested I wouldn't be able to attend "the dinner" my relatives went weird & made me feel too guilty. "Mika who?" "What do you mean just Mika?" "That isn't even a real name!" It sounds funny now. Clearly I submitted & was not amused. I achieved my own sort of revenge - I did have TBWKTM with me & played it for my nieces & nephews. A few of them are Mika fans now. Hahaha!

I read everybody's reports, look at all the photos & watch all the vids.

I know it probably can't compare.

But I enjoy them - and I can't wait for my turn. Hahaha!

I found Mika in Mar/07. I was reading fiction at a web page & the music was "Relax." I instantly liked that song & his voice then started looking for more music by this Mika guy. After hearing a few more songs I started to look into the artist & was impressed with his songwriting & stage personna. It took me a long time to discover this place. It wasn't the Official Mika Fan Club yet. There were posts every few days - yes it was official, no there is a delay, yes it is , not yet.

I think it went on for weeks if not a couple of months. Haha!
