  1. WOW!!! Mika was completely brilliant! I went 2 days on the trot and I'm shattered. Cannot imagine how exhausted Mika must be!! He'll never cease to amaze me...
  2. WOW!!!!! That was absolutely incredible!!! I loved every minute of it. I loved how they all worked together as a team, with Mika leading. And the energy he put into the whole evening - a stunning performance!!!! The crowd was fantastic and Mika seemed to REALLY enjoy himself. Thanks Mika for yet another fabulous evening!!! X
  3. Ah yes!! YOU know what I mean, and home made soup and Mika cakes, tho not together! And hot chocolate!! And One Foot Boy - not sure he actually foresaw that one tho!! I think it's that little dance he does in the middle of Rain - totally amazing!
  4. I love feeling all warm and snuggly, and i love the bright colours people wear that totally contrast with the dull grey clouds! It has a real Christmassy feel to it too! I'm waffling a bit -maybe i've inhaled too much gunpowder...
  5. Oh yeah! Well it's almost November and i kind of meant Autumn, with all the lovely leaf colours and stuff, and that fresh bite in the air and hats and scarves!
  6. Well from 2 moro anyway. Cannot wait!!! November is my absolute favourite time of year - halloween, bonfire night, fireworks etc and this gig just makes it perfect!
  7. Aaaaaghhhhh!!!!!! Cannot believe I have a ticket. Am so looking forward to going. Do you think you're allowed to take photos?
  8. What a great idea! I'm up for spending all morning in Starbucks talking about Mika!!
  9. London's back selling tickets again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. How many people quote their own message?? I just replied to Carien's - unfortunately didn't actually read anybody elses replies first so it seems i've just stated what's already been said - sorry. However it does seem i've managed to work out how to quote someone's msg, so this is good.
  11. Yes - Mika has the same effect on me and i believe he excludes no one, which is what i really admire about him. Listening to his music (or him for that matter!) makes you feel you can do anything! And Welcome by the way!
  12. I went to see Michael Jackson back in the 80s. I was nowhere near the front so he was only a dot, but i'll never forget the experience. Him and Mika are the only pop concerts i've been to - i guess i only go see singers/songwriters who perform with such passion and put so much energy into their work. Michael Jackson viewed the world differently - or did he? Do any of us really know how someone feels - their inner thoughts - or do we see just how they want us to see them. I believe Michael Jackson was true to himself. He said and did what he wanted - this was not always accepted and was often judged cruelly. Society is more accepting than it was 20 years ago, of people who are different or whose behaviour is different from what 'we' regard as the norm. But there will always be pockets of people who are afraid of those brave enough, not to conform. RIP Michael Jackson - a caring individual.
  13. Hello just wanted to say how much i like your signature. I think it's yours i can't find it anymore. Don't have a clue how to put so much as a picture on mine, but i've managed my gig dates, and i can even add colour!!

Anyway - your signature BLUE SKY - so cool! Took me a while to work it out, could get parts and i knew there was something really familiar... then later on while looking at something oh SO unbelievably familiar....you're signature suddenly whacked me in the face....genius!!

So thanks for keeping my mind ticking! :wink2:

  14. When I look at the sky i think - mmm...am i gonna need an umbrella? Seriously i know what you mean about the night sky, i too love it, well any sky really. Have you noticed how some days the sky looks as if you can reach out and touch it, and others it looks just so far away? Mika isn't actually very often far from me for i have recently developed Mika-ear infection - this is when you've listened to MIKA non-stop for a week on your ipod, and now you've finally stopped cos it needs re-charging, but you can STILL hear Mika Ring Ringing in your ears!
  15. Hi - yes i got an extra copy of Songs for Sorrow sent to me - don't worry I've sent it back. But it's a pretty dreadful mistake to have made, mainly because it's a limited edition and so much thought has gone into getting the artists to give their interpretation of Mika's songs and such a beautiful book has been created. And there's real fans out there who are desperately awaiting their ordered copies and there's people who haven't been able to afford copies, and then there's free copies being posted off to people who might just have ordered an mp3 - and i don't reckon all the people who download Mika songs are necessarily major big fans. Really hope that the majority of the EPs sent in error have been sent to the wonderful members of MFC - who we all know are good honest folk, who will pop their extra copy back in the padded envelope it came in, even if they've already taken off the plastic wrapping for a sneaky peak to see if those elusive codes were there and will send it back to : Sandbag Ltd. PO Box 2656. Reading. RG1 8XR. England. UK. And then maybe all those of you who are frustrated with waiting may finally receive your treasure. And Mika - thank you for creating something specially for your fans - Toy Boy is my absolute favourite but all the songs together with the book are just perfect. Thank you xx __________________
  16. When the boy is in bed it is not clear whether it is the boy or the toy boy. But have you seen how the adults in the picture are depicted with their mouths open - they have a say in what goes on, and ultimately rule. Then there's the boy who's either dressed his toy to look like him, or has fashioned himself like his toy? and his mouth is closed. He's doesn't have a say and is subject to others' control. I know his hands look like toy hands, but is the boy in fact just a reflection of a toy - where others ( the adults) are in control of his life and his body is left limp ready to be moulded by others. The smile of course we all know can hide many a true thought. The picture under his lamp might reveal the boy's real frustration. And through that he is able to scream out how trapped he feels! Any thoughts?
  17. I'm a bit less crazed today. Have been to work and concentrated quite well. However it's coming up half eleven - what am i doing on the MFC site? I have got to get a grip!!!! And really I should stop listening to just Mika or maybe at least listen to something other than Toy Boy. Poor obsessed me!
  18. Yes - all of them - I've not stopped playing them since. Driving all friends and family quite mad. There's a lot on youtube that i'd not listened to before and they're amazing too!
  19. Thanks for the welcome guys - that was really nice.
  20. Well I hate to break it to you but no if you're thinking about today's world your fascination with Mika is probably bordering on obsession. And yeh i'm the same - the people in my house have banned me from talking about him!!! But hey in Mikaworld we can be who we wanna be and say what we wanna say, so if it makes us happy let's carry on. My 4 year old niece and 6 year old nephew are crazy about him too!! But what is there not to like?
  21. I went to see him at Sadler's Wells last week - just incredible!!!! Since then i've basically not stopped listening to my EP and all of LICM and anything that he's sung on YouTube. The guy is just fascinating. His songs and his creativity hold no bounds. I agree with what you wrote about the Songs For Sorrow - it's nice to think he might have written something for a group of people he knows would definitely appreciate it. And the flip side of that being that if you consider songwriters are "craving to be heard" that we are a group of people who will listen. (In my case over and over!) He is however, in my opinion by no means mediocre! Unfortunately I know loads of people that don't get him or his music, and I cannot for the life of me understand why. And as for Toy Boy - what a song - i don't actually want to stop listening to it. The book - stunning. There isn't actually a song that i've heard Mika sing that I don't like.
  22. Not sure how it was possible but tonight's London gig was even better than Brixton!! Absolutely fantastic!!! Thanks so much MIKA - just the best best nite - thanks for all the effort that everybody puts in to making such an amazing show!!! Love every single song, especially that funny toy song and of course Rain.
