Teatro Sociale – The Centre of Como’s Cultural Lifehttp://www.travelsignposts.com/Italy/sightseeing/teatro-sociale Just behind Como’s cathedral is the neo-classical structure of the Teatro Sociale, Como’s opera theatre. Como prides itself as a city of the arts and Teatro Sociale is home to the city’s operas and classical concerts and its busy calendar of events include drama, theatre and dance. Teatro SocialeTeatro Sociale was built on land that was originally occupied by the Castello della Torre Rotonda, the medieval Castle of the Round Tower. Alessandro Volta, a native of Como who invented the battery in the 1800s, was involved in the acquisition of the land for the Teatro Sociale. Unfortunately, Volta did not get to see electric lighting at the Teatro Sociale. The opera theatre only went electric in 1899, on the occasion of the centenary of Volta’s invention of the battery. Como’s opera theatre was originally designed by Giuseppe Cusi in 1811, but many other eminent Italian architects were involved in its various modifications and restorations over time. Como’s Links with Opera and Classical MusicTeatro Sociale is a significant venue in the world of opera and classical concert and it has hosted master composers and musicians like Niccolò Paganini, Giuditta Pasta and Franz Liszt. In 1943, when La Scala in Milan was severely damaged during the WWII bombings, La Scala performances were moved to Teatro Sociale for a season. As a mark of solidarity, all the big names of Italian opera and classical music and conductors came and performed at the Teatro Sociale. When Liszt and the Countess Marie d’Agoult came to Italy, they stayed on Lake Como and their daughter Cosima Liszt was born in Como. Cosima Liszt later went on to become the second wife of Richard Wagner. A l'occasion de la sortie de son nouveau smartphone, Samsung organisait hier une grande soirée à la piscine Molitor, à Paris. Mika a été choisi pour mettre de l'ambiance, un show pop et survitaminé que Cristina Cordula n'a pas manqué et salué. Cristina Cordula fan de Mika ! Ce mardi 15 septembre, Samsung organisait une grande soirée branchée et connectée dans l'enceinte de la magnifique piscine Molitor, habituée aux festivités. Tandis que les personnalités ont fait le déplacement en masse, Miss France 2015, Camille Cerf, et la présidente du comité Miss France Sylvie Tellier ont été invitées, tout comme Laury Thilleman, à tomber dans une petite robe noire, ou encore le duo particulièrement complice formé par les jeunes chanteurs Joyce Jonathan et Vianney, Samsung avait recruté des artistes de premier choix pour mettre de l'ambiance : Mika et The Avener. Heureux de se produire dans un cadre aussi branché et insolite que la piscine Molitor, Mika a proposé un showcase survitaminé. Le juré de The Voice, qui cartonne avec son dernier album, No place in heaven, a enchaîné les tubes, transmettant toute son énergie au public. Looké, il ne néglige jamais son apparence, Mika a été observé de près par LA reine du shopping, Cristina Cordula. Si la célèbre animatrice de M6 n'était pas présente à la piscine Molitor, elle n'a cependant rien manqué du spectacle. Le showcase de Mika était diffusé en live. Séduite par sa prestation, la pétillante brésilienne n'a pas manqué de partager son enthousiasme sur Twitter. "J'adooore le showcase de Mika à la piscine Molitor !" a-t-elle posté dans la soirée.

VIDEO : TF1 Samsung : Un concert de Mika en direct sur TF1 en guise de publicité pour un nouveau smartphone ! Pour le lancement de son nouveau smartphone, Samsung avait décidé de frapper un grand coup. La marque coréenne a privatisé la piscine-hôtel Molitor pour un événement de taille puisque Mika et The Avener si produisaient en concert devant un parterre d'invités prestigieux. Ce concert était diffusé en direct sur internet mais un extrait a également été diffusé sur TF1 lors d'une publicité de deux minutes présentée par Sandrine Quétier.
