  1. On the train today, a random person was talking on the phone and the only snippet of her conversation i heard was: "Yes, it was chickeny and delicious" i almost died from stifling my laughter
  2. not to be really sketchy :pinkbow: but I noticed your birthday is February 23! Mine is too and I've never met anyone else who shares it :)

  6. so i may be a little biased since I'm in the picture , but I think his teeth are pretty cute here
  7. oh man, everything looks so beautiful and awesome! :roftl: I've been spoiled with one European gig, now I just have to sit and wait till he comes back across to this side of the Atlantic Hope you all had an *amazing* night! xx
  8. Original Astro Boy #1 and #2 !! Should be coming tomorrow
  9. First thing i noticed and yay for your snaps! I'm glad we don't have to live forever with my mediocre ones
  10. thank you all for the translations! I understood bits here and there (mostly when Mika was speaking, as he speaks a bit slower and clearer) but the translations are extremely helpful
  11. What a lovely documentary!!! I love the format of it... touring his life etc. then ending with footage of a gig-- it was the perfect combination of his personal life and his beautiful shows and really highlighted how much he loves what he does! I also love his family Yasmine is so cute, and they are so cute together! And lastly, Jimmy's little dance down the hallway at 12:50 made me laugh Here are a few snaps I took, sorry they're not that great quality, and the 'pause' sign is in the way a little bit in a few
  12. annoyed. had one of those days... you know, the ones when it feels like everywhere you look is another person ready to get annoyed with you for liking Mika so i've retreated here
  13. Don't speak a word of Spanish but have just watched it all the way through... whew!! Luckily I could hear Mika over the voiceover and just the visuals were enough to keep me smiling for 40 minutes SO ADORABLE i love the randomness and craziness of the show... Mika just soaks it all in and uses the energy to become even funnier and more charming
  14. thank you all for the links!! i love this interview... just rewatched the 'ooh and you gave me a muffin' about 12 times hehehe i honestly can't watch it without smiling... every single time! thanks again
  15. 1. You're so right about Jimmy While your situation was definitely more personal, I had the pleasure of having a quick chat with him with no one else around. He was immediately so so natural and sweet. My friend mentioned something about the gig we were at being a present for my 18th birthday and he said "Aw, happy birthday!" and gave me a hug. He was so sincere and sweet and it was such a fantastic moment 2. "It's all about the genuine things!" <-- perfectly put!! Even though I was fortunate enough to take a picture with Mika, I almost feel more fortunate to have had a conversation with him. Chatting about New York, where I'm from (which he thought was totally awesome since I was all the way in Berlin!) and seeing his reaction to the bracelets I had made for him were such genuine moments-- little glimpses of who Mika is/what he's like-- that you can't always get from a picture/handshake, etc. alone
  16. oh boy let's see...sorry if i get carried away well, i smiled. luckily i was saved from my few seconds of speechlessness by him signing his autograph. But then my friend behind me annoyingly said "SHE'S A HUGE FAN!" and i shushed her and then turned to him and said something like i really do adore your music and your shows, you were fantastic tonight! and when he heard that I had an american accent (i was in berlin) he said "you're not from around here are you?" and i told him I was from new york and he said "NO!!! really? all the way from new york??" he really didnt believe me, but when i mentioned his past two NYC gigs, he eventually did. So we chatted for a bit about New York (i was DYINGGG inside that i was actually CONVERSING with Mika, but i think i managed to hold myself together quite nicely) and then i gave him the bracelets i made (there are pics in the Mika Fan Art thread) and totally had a fangurl moment when it seemed that he genuinely liked them, and then he was kind enough to take a picture (he said "well, since you're here all the way from New York..." ) and i managed to stay calm until i got into the cab back to the hotel and i lost it definition fangurl, my friends thought i was crazy! :mf_lustslow:
  17. thanks guys! I used embroidery floss and followed the alphabet patterns that can be found here: http://hbernb.atspace.com/ looks complicated, but it's quite simple after lots of practice. I've been making bracelets since i was about 7 or so magic powers but i really love your art
  18. also, I **loveeeeeee** your drawing lostandfound. it's actually very strange because i had a dream once and the setting was oddly similar to what you have drawn here!
  19. I posted these a while back, but just as an update here are my finished bracelets I actually gave them to Mika in Berlin and he seemed to really like them They're a little *obvious* but it's the sentiment that counts right?
  20. Unbelievably happy! I found out a few hours ago that I got into my top two choices for university
