I couldn't listen to the whole show but I listened to the top 40 and unfortunately there were no Mika songs in there.. I was quite surprised in a negative way.. It's funny how this kind of radio shows don't reflect the sales, as I consider Mika's doing well in France atm.

TBWKTM is #15 in the charts for 2009 in France. I think it's good considering it hasn't been released at the beginning of the year! -
Your post just reminded me of something he said on a French interview before the PdP gig. He said "more than any other territory, it is a personal mission, I want to have a career in France". Could it mean he's actually doing more promo in the countries he personally wants to be successful in? Of course I think he wants to be successful in the UK too, but maybe he put a lot of effort in some countries because he was "emotionally" involved and left others behind without really realising it. And yes, the demand is high in France, don't know if it's higher but definitely high.

Even though I'm French and love when Mika speaks French or talks about anything related to France/French, I have to agree with you, his music is British and should remain so. It would mean a lot if he decided to sing in French, but I'm not sure it would work that well. I'm pretty sure I'd love it but it's a big risk. I think he could still full Parc des Princes... Ok maybe France is not as crazy about him as 2 years ago, but it's still pretty big! And he's doing 9 shows here, of a capacity of about 10000, sometimes more, and it's nearly sold out so if he decided to perform in a stadium I think 50000 people could go..

Some of us had a try at that the other night, but it would only download the 30 sec ad that comes before the show. I spent 2hrs trying to record something with another program and then I had the image with no sound... So it was not easy, Pamette seems to be the only one who can really help us here.

Wow that was a very nice moment we had on French TV tonight. Very moving. It's the first time I really realise how attached to French culture Mika is. I have a whole new view about him, love him even more if it's still possible I'd like to help you all see the video but I have no clue how to do this!

Virgin Radio in France has opened a vote for the Top 100 pop rock songs of the decade. We can vote from December 8 to Dec 31. It will then be announced on Jan 1. It does not seem to work very well at the moment, on my computer anyway, but I could see that we can vote for Relax, Big girl, Happy Ending and WAG. I'm pretty sure Grace Kelly is on another page, maybe other songs as well, but it wouldn't work. I'm not English so I don't know if what I'm gonna write is right, but if I understand well from here http://www.theofficialcharts.com/top40_albums.php TBWKTM is 59 in the UK and not 45 anymore. Anyone tell me if I'm wrong (I'd rather be wrong than knowing he's lost 14 positions)

Salut! ça fait un petit moment que je me balade sur le MFC mais j'étais pas encore venue dans la french thread. je viens de regarder pour Bercy par ticketnet et ça met "épuisé" pour les 2 catégories. c'est bizarre ça a l'air de changer régulièrement...
