  1. Yeah, we were waiting 'till the beautiful decor would appear, 'cause at first there was only the caravan and we were giving up our hopes and had the horrible thought he got rid of the decor. But the curtain dropped haha Have a great time! ;-)
  2. He does use a curtain to hide the decor, probably it means they have to let the curtain drop after Origin of Love. If I remember right it was just before Relax the decor-setting shows?
  3. I wrote a Dutch review, for everyone who wants to read (or look at the pictures ;-)): https://froy.wordpress.com/2015/09/23/mika-heaven-tour/
  4. Apparently he changed his mind on stage, 'cause I'm quite sure he didn't play "Je Pas Envie"?
  5. I think this was the best gig I've ever saw of his. Of course the intimacy of Cirque Royal was great and his gig at the Sportpaleis (first time I've seen him live) was always my favourite. But this topped everything. Great setlist, amazing decor by the great Job Smits and great vibe! Although I was quite ill I didn't feel anything during the concert, so that was a good thing. Only bad thing was the bad organisation to enter the venue in my opinion and the many unfriendly fans who arrived later and tried to get as close to the gates as possible and started to push when the gates opened. I've been to bigger gigs (even stadium gigs) but I've never felt so unsafe as yesterday. But then, great gig, still in a daze.
  6. Hopefully we'll be able to listen to it through YT or some sort soon outside of France!
  7. Here's a very short interview of last Friday ;-) http://www.vier.be/vieropdefestivals/videos/mika-op-de-lokerse-feesten/1130498
  8. Ah, than it has been another lady in a wheelchair, we stood at the right side in front of the stage so I thought there wouldn't be too many people in a wheelchair willing to sit in front of a barrier, but it seems there are more than I expected
  9. Oh, I guess you guys probably didn't stand that far away from us! We stood at the right of the stage, next to a lady in a wheelchair who left during one of the last couple of songs of Mika!
  10. Well, they use that same stage for smaller festivals, the big festivals have even higher stages. It's just a normal stage for a festival and when I stood more at the back watching Milow I was very happy the stage was that heigh 'cause I wouldn't have seen a thing if it wasn't. I know it does feel like it was huge when you stood in front of it, but if you stood at the back it definitely wasn't. I think queuing only works when you can talk with the security and get them to let the first 100 people or so go in first before opening all the other doors, but I guess that's not very likely to happen on any (Belgian) festival. I thought the organisation was actually good compared to some other bigger and professional festivals ('cause this festival isn't in the hands of big organisations, but is done by a bunch of very enthusiastic people who don't get pay for their work during the year). The only thing that really annoyed me was the fact they were serving drinks in and in front of the audience which helped people getting drunk and that didn't really helped the atmosphere.
  11. It was actually Dutch rap, not Flemish. It was a band from Holland and literally no-one liked their performance. There were even people complaining 'cause apparently they were cursing and throwing bottles into the audience? Also, the height of the stage is actually a common height for stages during festivals. It makes they can store things underneath the stage, and let people see something of what's going on on stage that are standing at the back. I know it makes it more difficult to see what's happening on stage when you're at the front, but that's something you choose for imo. It was the first time people were already waiting outside the doors so early, so you can say it was bad organisation, but it was actually something they weren't prepared for 'cause that never happened before with any of the other big names that played at the festival. I came in at 22h when Milow as playing and managed to get into the first rows 'cause everyone left their places after each gig (which is actually a very handy thing when you don't want to see any other bands perform, right? )
  12. It actually says Mika's band played pale (that's the literal translation, I'd translate it as "bored") and routinely. The decor looked beautiful though they, but too much of the songs had pre-recored backing vocals which were very badly mixed with the live music (although it looked and sounded all very live to me?? I remember a gossipmagazine writing the same when he performed at the Sportpaleis --'). They say it took Mika long to get the audience with him (well yeah, they were serving drank at the front row and in the middle of the audience????) and nobody minded he didn't do any encores (well, almost everyone who I talked to who saw the performing of Mika were actually sad the gig was over, so I guess that journalist doesn't really like Mika :'))
  13. The audience wasn't indeed as enthusiastic as they were at most Mika gigs, but I guess that's due the fact there were many people who were there just 'cause of the fact it was Lokerse Feesten without knowing really any music of the bands who played. The weird line-up of different styles and the fact that they served drank in between the audience didn't really help to get into the concertbubble 'cause people were constantly walking in between, even in the front rows (at the side). Still it was a great gig, he convinced some of my friends and they really enjoyed his show. Loved the giggle of Mika when the audience was singing "Happy Ending", he didn't expect that. I loved what he was wearing! Finally he has put his Valentino-suit aside and choose something that let him jump and dance around. It did make me think of what he was wearing in in the TBWKTM-period. I'm even more looking forward to September now! Really loved the gig! I wrote a (Dutch) blog about with some pictures: https://froy.wordpress.com/2015/08/01/lokerse-feesten-milow-mika/ My video of "Underwater":
  14. Definitley wearing the same glasses! No, not coming to Lille, but I'm going to Brussels in September Have a great time everybody tonight!
  15. I'm coming with a friend, we'll probably just arrive in time for Milow As she's not into Mika as much as I am I thought it wouldn't be too kind to persuade her into getting to the front rows. I'll be seeing Mika in September too with my Mika-friends (who couldn't come today) and we'll be queuing to get to the first rows then ;-) But say hi when you see me! ;-)
  16. Nononono, Lokerse Feesten is actually IN the town Lokeren and there won't be any (carpark)field near the festivalcity. See the info about the shuttle for more information where you can park. But don't expect any fields around!! (Belgium isn't completely covered in fields, you know? ;-) )
  17. You can read the do's and don'ts at their website. You can't bring any drinks or food, but you can bring small pocketcamera's (so read that as: not the professional stuff). The ones that fit in the pockets of your pants will probably be okay to bring with you. I know their website says it's okay, but the PDF with the rules says you can't bring anything that's able to record images and/or sound. But as we live in 2015 that would mean they have to take in 99% of all the people their mobile phones ;-) You can read how to get to the festival and where to park your car over here: http://www.lokersefeesten.be/bereiken/ Have a great time tomorrow! ;-)
  18. I've won a ticket so I'm definitely going to be there! So looking forward to see the man again after quite some time! So excited!
  19. Yeah, I ordered the French deluxe by Bol earlier on when they said last Friday they weren't able to deliver this album. I've ordered it through Fnac.be in the end, only the shops in the French part (so that's Brussels too) of Belgium have the French deluxe version, all the other shops have the normal European edition. Seems it isn't like last time where you were able to get a hold on one of the French copies no matter where you lived...
  20. After a first listening I chose for "Hurts", "Promiseland" and "Porcelain"! I especialy like the second half of the French deluxe version.
  21. That's the first thing I thought too when I heard this song! I think it's an amazingly beautiful song!
  22. Bought my tickets through Teleticketservice and they've already arrived so i'm definitely going!
  23. Also superb I'm recognisable in the video haha Very weird to see myself dancing, jumping and singing...
