Thank you guys!! Didn’t really had the impression other people than us from mfc were there no, it was like about 300 people or so!

It was a short but amazing experience! Really loved the intimate atmosphere and especially when he played ‘Jane Birkin’ in the middle of the crowd. It was nice meeting some other fans as well in the queue and during the waiting period inside, but it was clear only people from MFC where there. 🙈 As it was my birthday on Friday and we traveled all the way from Belgium it really felt like a very long and special birthday weekend! ☺️

Yes! He had to restart Grace Kelly due to a malfunction of his in-ears. 🙈

What an incredible night!! Such high energy, he was clearly taking it all in at the end. 🤩

What a day and what a show! Rain poured all day so I guess eventually everyone got wet and soaked. Even the sand in the frontstage was turned into a mudpool where you sank into, which made dancing and jumping even harder. But overall the atmosphere was unique, the gig felt intimate and small, very cosy. Mika was in such a great mood, he connected from the start by talking Dutch to the crowd with the little help of Wouter. Certainly will write a blogpost later on this week about the day, but the cold and rain took a lot of energy apart from singing, dancing and screaming along with Mika. What a beautiful summer! We booked tickets for the Beach festival in Nieuwpoort earlier this year when a friend of mine texted me stating we wouldn't have enough with only one MIKA-gig this year, and as he was coming to Francofolies Spa she asked if we shouldn't buy tickets for this festival as well... So we did. We went in early so we could check out the shows of RORI, Charles and Juliette Armanet as well. After Juliette Armanet we tried to get as close to the stage as we could get and had to do an hour of waiting... Luckily enough the rain didn't really got started and went over. Weirdest thing about this festival was the fact it seemed like some local thing every now and then where people would catch up with each other and do a lot of talking. Unfortunately enough that also meant people tried to get up to the front to people they know and were waving to them, no matter if you tried to tell them there wasn't any more place left. Anyhow, went the lights turned out and the band came on stage the excitement was there. I love how Lollipop became a great opener with the quite acoustic intro on piano before bursting open in a high energetic song. During 'Origin of Love' he got a hold of a heart shaped balloon from someone in the audience which he pinched whilst singing 'don't let it break you...' He told us he arrived without their truck which meant they had to do the show without any props, no decor and no extra lightning. But that would also mean they would be free, spontaneous and they would get to do this with all of us. (And boy, did he deliver!!) During 'Big Girl' he went into the audience and all the people went crazy (again, sad that people push other ones over to get as close as possible to him...) From then on everyone was eating out the palm of his hand. He got Juliette Armanet on stage who stood at the side of it, made her play the outro piano for 'Relax, Take it Easy' before the band joined in again. He teased with the people at the restaurant, even made the people in the hotel next to stage sing along to 'Underwater' (and we've got the say, it was audible so applause to have the courage to sing for so many people standing outside!) After 'Rain' (one of my favourite live songs) we were in for a treat! He announced he would do something never done before, chatted about the French album he has been writing over the last couple of years and tonight he would let us hear the first single of the album and on top of it they would record a small video clip for the announcement together with us. He went into the audience again and told us we could sing along, jump, dance and do whatever we wanted. And so did we. More than before the audience went mental and I'm sure the images will look and show much of a party we had! You could tell he was really proud and was enjoying himself as much as we did. He was taking it all in which was so beautiful to see! Wouter did an amazing drum solo during one of the costume changes. So happy as well 'We Are Golden' has been part of his setlist again since the last couple of tours! Also love the new intro to 'Love Today', ever since he did the BBC Radio 4 news-weather intro at the show in Versailles I've been fan of that part. He did that kind of thing again last year at the festival in Zeebrugge (Live is Live) and I could hear small references to this in the new intro. Unfortunately he did not sing 'Yoyo' but at the end of this show he and his band danced to the remix version of course! What an amazing show! I loved the environment for this kind of show. The fact he was able to transform real popsongs like 'Elle me dit' and 'Ice Cream' into classical arrangements and let them still work with all the energy they have make it show how great songs they really are. I love when he gets Ida to perform with him as well, they have such an amazing friendship and energy together. I actually loved this show even more than the symphonic stuff he did a few years ago.

Screenings at the French part of Belgium have been announced too, hopefully they add some screenings on the Dutch-side as well. Let's hope this also means there will be a DVD-release in the (near) future! 😍

What a gig it was! Really enjoyed the venue, the atmosphere, the joy and fun on Mika's face,... Suffering from a postgigdepression for real. I was able to write down a blogpost about the gig on my blog (http://froy.wordpress.com/2020/02/13/mika-revelation-tour-utrecht/), although it's in Dutch it contains pictures and two clips I made.

I'm a bit dissapointed too it isn't available in a physical version, but I'm happy we get a live album after all. I guess they'll put the show they recorded for Canal+ on DVD at some point though.

Actually considering going to Utrecht for a couple of days and going to the gig on Monday on my own 🙈

Do all shirts have the dates of the gigs on their back or is it only the one with it's face?

As they've captured it, let us hope we get a broadcast of the complete gig and maybe a DVD ;-)

I hope we will be able to order/buy this as a poster 'cause it looks like a piece of art to put up on a wall if you'd ask me...

It'll probably be next Friday... Or Friday after next week. Or...

Aaah, an DVD+CD version is amazing! I was really hoping for that if they would release a DVD! Really looking forward to this! Hopefully there will be a DVD of a normal gig as well very soon, 'cause it's been too long we had one of those and I've watched the other two too much

In this case it means the curtain hiding the set has to drop at this particular moment on the setist

I'm so looking forward to New Years Day after hearing this beautiful cover! I've already made it into an mp3 to have it on repeat on my iPod

Boum Boum Boum was indeed a different version on the French version as the single version.
