For me NPIH is on top of his alb.list And if I can travel, now and then, and see a live concert, with setlist containing both falsetto and normal voice songs, I'm more than happy! We were both lucky enough to experience the Opera gig in Firenze the 30th Dec. MIKAs setlist there had it all, both demanding falsetto, and lower voice songs , and I can't say I heard any problem with his performance - to me it sounded like pure magic, all of it But I'm not a singer judge, and I agree with you that being the best singer demands a lot of maintenance... Yes, falsetto has become MIKAs trademark But as we all know he's educated at Royal College of Music in London, he has learned how to use his voice - and practised for app.25 years now Honestly I don't think he cares very much about what people think, or wish, his singing to be like. He does it his own way, the way he likes it best, like everything else We might like it or not, but that's MIKA I personally love his natural lower voice much more than the falsetto voice - but on the other hand I find it very fascinating that he can handle "the full scale" so well... MIKA's popularity in Italy seems overwhelming! Media and press cover every move and word he says! I agree with Nina, that people pay a lot of attention to his speech and words. The Italiens really have noticed that it's not all about his amazing music and performances, but also about his great personality. We, his hardcore fans, have known for 10 years now that he's a very wise man, with a big and warm hearth But now more and more citizens of the world notice this, thanks to all the interviews in newspapers, mags, radio and TV - and Italy seems to be the leading country to broadcast it! Even I only understand some words in between, it's easy to see that he's given a huge attention, and I think MIKA uses his opportunities well Now I do hope that he'll be even tougher, in the upcoming new Casa Mika shows. People listen to MIKA - his opinion counts, it's impossible not to notice his knownledge, wisdom and kindness So my hope now is that he will invite and get also some "mighty quests" in his shows - people who have the power to change things which are not good and fair in our society. Time will show what he does - but my expectations are high... Love, love me
