  1. No, he knows that already exists http://www.amazon.com/Mad-about-Boy-Kathleen-Drummond/dp/1780880960
  2. I doubt he'll end up with a man. I love the thought, but I don't believe he'll do it. Because he's commercial as hell when it comes to these things, and because I think that a fairytale in Mika's head does involve two genders rather than one And I can well imagine he has less problems making a vid like this now than a few years back. Now he doesn't have to worry about pretending someone he's not, because now that he's out it is clear that it's just for the vid. So he can act like he's in love with them without feeling guilty. Still hoping I'm wrong though...
  3. Of course. This nasty thing called money - or the lack thereof - is always in the way, isn't it? In that sense we should meet at someone's house and all sleep there. But then we'd need a house big enough, and we'd all have to get there too. I doubt that would be any easier.

  4. Let's see, it would be nice if you could make it!

  5. Here's the thread for it with all the info http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30426 would be great if you could make it!

  6. That's what I thought at first, but the pictures of the restaurant make it seem like the tablecloth is paper (the way it curls up at the edges), while the napkins seem to be cloth. I don't believe Mika would have bothered to find out such a detail for a pr-story, so I tend to believe him this time.
  7. I'm taking it as "I've made it such a success this year I want even more money than I got already, so I'm playing hard to get". But... on verra.
  8. Actually, these tablecloths kind of do look like paper http://www.paris-bistro.com/choisir/paris16/lestella.html
  9. Of course not. Karen and Carolina are not getting any royalties either, as far as I know, and this guy cannot even be identified from the song. What is he going to do? Stand in court and say he was the naked guy? I can totally see Mika and Doriand going: "hm, it's hard to tell. Perhaps if you drop your pants we'll be able to recognise you"
  10. I'm happy to hear you've decided to look at Mika differently and can enjoy his music again without getting frustrated. I can really see it in the way you write posts, they're happier now. I hope that's also the way you feel. I don't suppose you could join the London meet-up? I know traveling is difficult for you, but I would love to meet you.

  11. I know it's not the same, as they weren't singing. I was just not sure if this part had been broadcasted as well, or if it might have contained something new. That's why I shared it here:thumb_yello:
  12. It doesn't work on my ipad. But googling gave me this: No idea if it has been posted yet. I can hardly understand it with all the screaming, although I don't think they say anything useful
  13. There's two things I wonder about. 1) with all the promotion he did, why did he not sing it even once? 2) how many people living opposite that restaurant would be wondering if they were the ones that forgot to close the curtains?
  14. I'd say he likes the concept of not being ashamed to make love, but he himself has some issues in that department. In one of these interviews he said the girl closing the curtains was a bit more like him. So then it makes sense he writes a song about someone not afraid, kind of wishing he was more like that, and then another song where he still wishes that but realises it's impossible. I could quote some interviews from when he was promoting OOL to support this hypothesis, where he talked about love being associated with guilt for him, but I think I should leave Mika's psychology alone now
  15. Yes, he can still sing So what was going on here? Perhaps it's written somewhere, but I missed it. Why did Mika go on stage there?
  16. That would be great. I highly doubt it, but I'd love that! He said the same thing about TOOL, and changed his mind (or perhaps the label did) at the last minute.
  17. So I was not the only one who noticed I totally agree on the anti anti-gay thing, although reading it in context it doesn't sound like he's claiming to make the statement, just Mika babbling on when a question is asked. There's no way he would use this song like that. He's been consistently been framing himself as the boy next door with the message that gay people are just like everyone else, with his 'I'm in a long and stable relationships, we've had our ups and downs, just like everyone else'. There's no way he would want to portray gay people as having sex everywhere all the time, I don't believe that.
  18. Des kilos, des tequilas would make sense, and the second des could indeed be des rather than de. I still hear les kilos, but that could just as well be my ears faulting or Mika mixing up his articles
  19. I agree it sounds odd, so I thought it was this explanation as well, but then I listened the that piece of the song ten times and he definitely says je prend les kilos de tequila, not je prend des kilos le tequila, which is what he should have said if that was the meaning
