  1. For some strange reason I was wrong about the lyrics I thought that when he sings "who gives a s**t about tomorrow...", I thought it was "gives a shiver..." Oopps
  2. Just need to share it my frustration: I Ordered MNIMH from amazon, seems like it was a mistake as the album hasn't been shipped to me yet. I Will probably get it only by the end of the month, which sucks. Really want to hold it in my hands and put it with the others MIKA albums, what a wait
  3. Another review - I Don't understand why the writer don't like this track. Here is a part about RTCTL, translated into english https://www.maxazine.nl/2019/10/07/mika-my-name-is-michael-holbrook/ On the album there is a terrible mistake, which may have been forced upon him by the record company. There is a duet with no one less than Jack Savoretti, the crooner-lossball whose music I described earlier as the perfect soundtrack of the 70s soft porn film 'Emmanuele Nera'. Savoretti is pushed and promoted in such a way that it is almost suspicious. The man was crazy about Pinkpop this year. Fortunately, that went by quite unnoticed. The song is called 'Ready to call this Love'. Horrifying to hear, and incomprehensible that Savoretti is being promoted here too. Fortunately we can fast forward and then we come to 'Cry', another beautiful typical Mika song with a nice electronic groove and beautiful vocals.
  4. A Few years ago I Went with my mom to some dressing shop and they had radio, and suddenly 'Underwater' started. I Was So hyped to hear it on the radio!!! My mother had no idea why I'm so hyped ("It's just a song in the radio" she said something like this" and the one who worked there said something like "you can record it with your phone" (?) But I Said I Already has the song on my phone, not to mention it was my ringtone back then... What I'm saying - It's rare to hear MIKA on radios unless it's Grace kelly, love today, relax, And I Wish to hear something from MNIMH on the radios...
  5. https://screenstreams.co.uk/2019/10/my-name-is-michael-holbrook-mika-album-review.html A Review I Found about MNIMH. The writer of it also mention the tracklist and tracks order, saying: The only critique I’d have of Mika’s ‘My Name Is Michael Holbrook’ would be that some of the songs seem a bit… choppy when going into one another. One second, you’ll listening to an upbeat, sugar-coated confection, the next, the track stops abruptly and you’re led into a piano-based, slow burner. There’s nothing wrong with having a bit of variety, of course, but the changes are so sharp and sudden you’re left wondering if perhaps the track-listing could’ve been mixed up a bit to save this from happening. With that said, the way that the tracks are arranged means that there’s never a lull in the album. Usually, you get about two thirds into a record and start suffering from musical fatigue. Not with ‘My Name Is Michael Holbrook’. The album whizzes by, a colourful, glittering 13-track affair from the eccentric singer. Good to see a good and interesting review
  6. Must agree about this. I Feel like Tiny Love Reprise should come after Blue, but I Guess Mika has its own intentions when it comes to the order of the songs, for me Stay High is indeed a bit shocking after Blue
  7. What A Beautiful Song, So... I Have no words to describe it properly, maybe heavenly? I Listen to this and it makes me fly in my mind to some other place, magical, a bit sad... Blue was Always one of my favorite colors. It's so nice to hear a song like that from my favorite artist! He describes perfectly that interesting color: like the song itself, Blue is sad but always peaceful and makes you feel safe, like this song and the lyrics! It's magical Gotta love Mika's voice in this song (like any others) Perfection
  8. I Can't believe myself, I Just watched it for like 15 min' until the MIKA Was up, I Was like... Why Am I Watching this thing?... I Guess seeing it live is thrilling! I'm happy to see he gets more attention now!!
  9. I Think that Platform Ballerinas sounds a bit like a song from High School Musical https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0tHWJ6PDKA or this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfsc5blh3RE
  10. I Must agree about cry & ready to call this love. Cry is growing on me and i'm starting to like it more while Ready to call this love is just basic love duet, Which seems a bit "I Heard it before" in some way... I Agree about the instruments Also
  11. Does Anybody know why Mika didn't work with Greg wells on MNIMH? Just curious to know...
  12. I'm pretty sure the subtitles are wrong and Mika is singing: "And our love sets like the sun", No?
  13. I Would like to say some words about MNIMH (Gosh Mika, why everytime the album's names are so long?) So - Very different from "NPIH" which is one of my favorites of him, but in a good way! I Really feel the beatles influences in some songs, starting from Tiny love which is of course the heart of the album, kind of a new origin of love song. Also like you said - I Went... sounds like a Beatles song and also I Find "Stay High" too, Beatles in it sound! (a bit Drive My Car kind - in the baseline) It's Hard for me to choose a favorite. But what I Like less: for some reason "Ready to call this love" - It just didn't catch me as the others, But Mika voice is amazing as always. I Must say that "Cry" is growing on me... From the new ones: Tiny Love Reprise, It's just moved me. The choir, the part of his mother, and especially - Paloma part. Apparently she has a beautiful voice, I'm not surprised either... Family thing Mika ending the song (and the album) with the line "And We'll stay high..." is so emotional, make sense (a bit of me also want him to complete the sentence with "...with a tiny love") AHHHH I Can't choose favorites! I'm trying! "Paloma" sounds a bit like a Carol King song, or is it just me? Something about the Piano... But it's beautiful, touching song, And Make sense... thanks god there isn't "Fly Balloon" song in the album From the beginning I Loved the fact that Tiny love is not following a kind of order, formula, it's refreshing and I Love it that Mika wrote something clever as this! And the music video must be one of my favorites from Mika, I Love the symbolism and kind of surlisem feeling, old 90s film And I Like the cover, so colorful! I Love this album, It's better from TOOL, I'm not sure what it's place among others But for me, the wait was worth it, Thanks MIKA!!!
  14. WOW When I Heard "Cry" for the first time, I Was like.... I Don't Know. Also for me it's somehow the least favorite... I Agree about Paloma voice, Is so Warm! her "tiny love" is her child? me doing some thinking, Wish MIKA would really make a duet with her!!!
  15. It has a bit of Beatles sound, or is just me?
  16. I Just finished listening. Tiny Love reprise... just WOW, what a way to end the album. A Bit of LICM vibe is there, a bit of NPIH... A Masterpiece!
  17. So the "fly balloon" is actually "fly paloma"
  18. It's 20 minutes here until midnight. I'm ready!!!
  19. Yeah, The Wait was sooooooo long I'm already thinking when should one should expect Mika to release a 6th album Anyway - After all the wait, a bit more to wait now would be worth it and I prefer to honor all the work Mika put in this new record
  20. I Have ordered a CD too, from amazon, not from the mikasounds, as it would take forever to the CD to arrive. I Think It will take time... Unfortunately, also here in Israel it's holiday season now, so the post isn't working properly. With NPIH (it was out 15th june) I Got my CD at 2th July. Anyway, 2 more hours until midnight, to finally hear the full record!
  21. Haha, It's a nice interpretation but I Don't think it fit... I Mean, If Mika is playing a cat, why does the cat will start singing "My name is Michael..."?
  22. That's not my Interpretation It's a comment From YouTube. I Guess everyone has its own understanding of the song / video
  23. Wait, What? Someone wrote on the youtube music video that Mika wrote "Tiny Love" for his cat: "Love that he wrote this for his cat. ❤️ He is clearly playing a cat in this video. Hence his size, being on her lap when she’s trying to play piano, getting pets behind his ears, etc. As a cat lover, it jumped out to me instantly." Does Mika has a cat? (I Know he has two dogs but a cat? I'm not sure about that) I Mean, that's, you know, maybe a kind of interpretation of the song/video clip, I Just asking myself how much can it be (I Mean if Mika has dogs it can be about his dogs...) But I Guess everyone has it's on interpretation of the video, I Prefer the one that says this song is about Michael / Mika. BTW, Everyday I'm falling in love with the song & video clip more. It's pure art.
