I'll let you know how I get on. Usually I tend to be tactful with people, although my new year resolution was to tell people how I really feel, so I'd better stick to it haha! I'm going to try and hang out with him more, on a one-to-one basis. That way, we might be more open to each other. That sucks but I'm happy you found a wonderful person. There was a guy I liked at high school, but when he found out I liked him he went mad at me and said he never wanted me to contact him again. This was years ago, but I'm worried that the same thing might happen again with the guy I like now. Hopefully not, though.

My parents have a 6 year age gap and they've been married for over 20 years, so I know it can definitely work. But, as you say, it can be difficult, which is why I'm so apprehensive. I'm really not sure whether he likes me or not. Some days I think he does, others I think not. I've been getting so many mixed signals and it's been driving me crazy! I've spoken to several people about it though and they all said it's worth a try, so I guess I'll have to see how it goes. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for your advice. My uncle and his girlfriend also have a gap of 8 years, so I know that it can work. However, I know it can be an issue for some people, and I really don't want to make him feel uncomfortable. I've known this guy for three months. I would say I know him pretty well now, so I trust him and know that he's a caring person. It's weird to say this, but I feel some sort of connection with him. He also has the most gorgeous blue eyes. I will probably ask him out at some point, but for now I'll wait and see what happens.

Hi guys, how are you all doing? Sorry for being so inactive here lately. I've been incredibly busy with college and have a lot on my mind right now. I also have a bit of a dilemma. There's this guy in my college course who I think is really cute. We've been talking and hanging out quite a bit, and I really love spending time with him. In fact, I found out through a mutual friend that he finds me attractive. Only trouble is, there is an age gap of 8 years. Plus, I've never been in a serious relationship, so I don't really know what I'm doing. Should I ask him out and risk rejection, or do nothing? He has shown a few signs of interest (he said he liked my eyes once ), but I feel that the age gap is the main issue. Any advice would be appreciated!

Watching Bercy today made me realise how much I miss Mika's shows. Hopefully we will all get a chance to see him this year...

Welcome! It's amazing to be able to speak to other fans. I've made so many friends thanks to MFC. Last year was my gap year, so I didn't really do much (apart from the Mika gig, of course!). But this year I've been so busy with college and meeting new people. Ah yes, not long now!

Yeah, it was so good. You can never go wrong with pizza! One of the girls said she had heard of Mika and liked his song Lollipop. Most people here seem to know him for LICM but nothing much else. One of the boys didn't know who he was, so I told him and now he is going to look him up. I should be getting paid for promoting Mika!

Just had the best night out with some other students from college! Got to know some more people and we had a really great time. Went for pizza first and then to a bar. I even told them about Mika haha!

I don't understand it either. Sadly I don't think it's possible to get another room; the accommodation is completely sold out. I like the room itself; after all, I've already furnished it with Mika posters! But some people are so rude it's unbelievable. I'll definitely take lots of pics! Meeting him would be a dream come true...

The Voice would be great to see; plus, it takes place on Saturdays, so I'd be able to get time off college easily. If only I could see Mika again soon, I miss him so much... Hopefully I will get it sorted eventually. The receptionists sent out an email reminding people to be quiet, but obviously some have just ignored it. I might listen to music while I sleep, to block out the noise, but it would be so much better if it was sorted completely.

I can sympathise. I felt terrible this morning. Last night I was awake until 4am because of the noisy neighbours. This is getting seriously out of control. I hate to complain all the time but I haven't slept properly in ages. Plus, the noise is affecting my mental health as well. I might go out tomorrow for a walk. There's a really lovely park on the west side of Glasgow, so I might go there. What about you?
