c'mon, lets nto let the theater thread die! :thumbdown:

 

:bleh: Has anyone seen Hairspray the movie? on Broadway? how do you compare the two? I didn't get the chance to see the movie yet, its a shame since i am a musical theater major lol, but i loved the Broadway production!

 

i saw Hairspray the movie, and i absolutely LOVED it!!:biggrin2:

i didn't get the chance to see the broadway version, though.

 

 

and put me up as theatre lover #3, yo!:roftl:

I'm loving this thread 'cause it's making me remember so much stuff.

When I go over to Dublin, I usually manage to take in a play at the Gate Theatre, 'cause my cousin works there and lets me know in advance what's going to be on.

The last play I saw there was one with Ralph Fiennes and Iain MacDiamiad (the Emperor in the Star Wars films) called The Faith Healer, which was absolutely stunning. Had me gripped from the start, simply because each act only had one character telling the story from their point of view. It was fantastic.

Ralph Fiennes is a beautiful actor !!

I'm still here:) Anyone sing in a choir?

I am in a fun choir this summer and we are doing renaissance up to POP

Elvis ! wooh its fun..might dress up as Elvis.

 

Wouldn't it be awesome if our Choir could do a MIKA song..ah the worlds of copyright..but it would be cools..

The Producers ! that is so funny. my (Ex) and I had a "producer's night"

and he dressed all in black and wore a can of Campbell's Soup around his neck! and Rocky Horror Picture show! I love that,,any one do a Rocky Night and dress up? I still have to that some time!

i've always wanted to go to one of the rocky horror showings, but i've never been able to go. :sad:

 

oh my goodness!

the movie hairspray was beautiful! i loved the color and brightness!

john waters and his cameo=:wub2:

when queen latifah sang "i know where i've been", i had a single-tear moment. i'm a dork.:biggrin2:

"how can a month have an idea?":roftl: my 3 friends and i laughed so hard! then we realized we were the only ones laughing. (yay for remembering stuff!)

i did choir all thru high school! it was soo muhc fun! and i was in the a Capella group!

Movin' Out

Mary Poppins

 

Swan Lake and Edward Scissorhands are like Movin' Out(no lines)

hey peoples!:bleh:

 

i moved to school friday!

i almost had a freakout. for a couple of days the site wouldn't work here! but now it's working. yay!

 

i start class tomorrow! and i think i have to audition for oedipus also. not so sure. i also got my books yesterday and i was so happy! i was flipping through my scene/light design book and had myself a dorky cute time.:original:

that's my theatre news for the day.
