mellody Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 It seems like there's only ever a few MFCers coming in here and saying they've voted, why are we the only ones that seem to care about getting him votes? i'm just not posting about it every time i vote. but i also keep reminding people on the german fanclub about it, and they can win some mika goodies for promoting mika, so i hope they keep voting a lot. i'm seeing a success on most of those sites, as long as that's the case i think it's fine. i think the radio charts are really important, but tbh, i don't know if it makes a big difference what position mika gets in that "mr twitter" thing, for example - i'm voting there too, but i don't see it as much more important than for example the starflash site. it's good to have him on there, and even better if we manage to get him to no.1, but i understand that many people might thing it's not important enough for them to spend their time on it. who becomes mr twitter doesn't really get a lot of press or anything, does it? I agree with both of you. As a Mika fan & belonging to Mika's Fan Club I think we should be doing everything to get Mika's music more radio airplay, Mika's name out there wherever & whenever we can, supporting & promotoing Mika again wherever & whenever. The Mr. Twitter thing is silly - but I spend a lot of time voting there because it is noticed mostly by Americans & I want as much exposure for Mika in the States as possible. Believe it or not Mika could win the Mr. Twitter & Best Musician on Twitter if even a THIRD of the 5700 MikaFanClub twitter followers helped us by voting just FOUR times. I will probably get a nasty comment for suggesting this - as I suggested this a couple of times last August when Mika really had a chance at winning the first Mr. Twitter contest. But it is the truth. There are a few of us here who will continue to vote everyday/week for music charts at radio stations, popularity contests & whatever else we can find to put Mika's name out there where people who have never heard of Mika or people who have slightly heard of Mika will see his name or music & google him or become fans.
