leonita
It's true. You have to know what to avoid to know what to cherish How very, very wise the Oldlings are ! I just got home & read the new part 13 pages- BexxY, you have gotten some superb advice here today. (and for free too!) all I can add is that when I was going thru something awful, a counselor I had said these 4 words: "the pain will diminish" and she was right. Good luck to you, I'm sending you a virtual hug from Chicago! Leona

dcdeb
Hi!! I'm 30 and I just made myself comfortable here yesterday I want to know now if it's possible I'm the youngest Oldling?? It's possible that you're the youngest "official" Oldling Kelzy -- we do have a few "Honorary" Oldlings who are really younglings or slightly older... All I care about is that I'm not the OLDEST Oldling! LOL! I think I should be an olding. The middle-lings are bo-ring! Have you READ what we write about here, Mana? Some days it's all gardening, child-rearing and cookie baking... pretty boring stuff. Then again... some days it's all about traveling the globe to see a curly haired 24-year-old singer no matter what obstacles stand in our way -- definitely not so boring! You'd be more than welcome here, regardless! dcdeb

lollipop_monkey
remind me- what exactly happens in a quarter-life crisis? Not sure. Apparently a mid-life crisis involves reckless purchasing of luxury vehicles, so I'm thinking the quarterlife equivalent would be the wreckless purchasing of an '86 Volkswagen Beetle. aarrghh!my Mika poster fell off the wall, I had it rolled up & my cat just squished & creased it! he's grounded now. dcdeb
Not sure. Apparently a mid-life crisis involves reckless purchasing of luxury vehicles, so I'm thinking the quarterlife equivalent would be the wreckless purchasing of an '86 Volkswagen Beetle. I'm not so sure about the mid-life crisis, though -- I think your definition works for most men, but around here, it seems our midlife crises entail chasing after young curly-haired musicians, regardless of the expense. My dog stole a piece of the confetti that I smuggled home from one of the shows. It was shocked. Speaking of confetti, I put on a pair of gloves the other day and felt something in one of the fingers -- pulled out... a piece of red confetti! The funny part was, I hadn't worn these particular gloves in NYC -- but I had in Glasgow! It was confetti from November! Made me smile. And the pockets of my coat are still filled with confetti from the NYC show -- I can't bear to empty them, although I must admit it's getting a little embarrassing to leave a confetti trail every time I pull my hands out of my pockets... like I did in church yesterday... dcdeb

But I bet you just can't help but smile when you find Mika-confetti in the most random places. It's like it follows us around as a reminder. I loved walking from the LA gig back to my hotel, seeing the confetti span three or four blocks past the venue. *sigh*

(I love how he's trying to look sexy while wearing the biggest hairstyle Don't in history...) remind me- what exactly happens in a quarter-life crisis? My quarter life crisis was boring. Or maybe I got boring. It's when I stopped going out to pubs and getting drunk anyway I'm looking forward to chasing curly headed musicians around the country now though..
