Hi Oldlings - back after a 16 hour power cut!!! :biggrin2:

Wendi doesn't do gentle. :roftl::thumb_yello:

Cheek - stuck in the snow, gales and no power, and you

are taking the mick!!! :sneaky2:

I passed my time sticking lots of stuff into scrapbooks!!

I have clippings from newspapers, school bulletins etc from

the younger four bairns - and they had stayed in a big envelope

for years - today I stuck them all in!!!

Its funny how used to electricity we are - I kept thinking

well if I cant go on the computer I can go and iron, hoover etc!!

Hi Everyone:thumb_yello:

So there I was sitting in my sons car this morning, feeling totally miserable with my man flu( it must be man flu because that is FAR worse than woman flu) and waiting for the recovery lorry when I recieved a text from Robi, holed up in the Italian mountains, explaining Wendi's predicament to me and telling me how worried and concerned she was!:roftl:

Glad you now have power Wendi and that you have got your scrapbooks sorted:thumb_yello:

Hey there all!

Blimey Wendi, 16 hours, dunno if I could last that long without power. I'd probably just go to bed, heh heh.

I couldn't even do that!!!

My bedroom has an electric heater - so it was freezing cold -

given there was a gale and a snowstorm at the same time!!

I slept on one of the two-seaters in the living room with the

dogs and the cat!! Didn't sleep that well!!

And my coal fire went out at around 4am - so I was trying to

get it to catch, and freezing my butt of at the same time. Have

a large kettle on the fire that was supplying my hot water though

- so was able to get a hot drink, and I made toast over the

flames!!! :biggrin2: I also have a small gas camping stove that I can use

if need be, with my cast iron pots!!!

I was telling my boyfriend that I had texts from Italy, Ayrshire and

Holland - and it had all cheered me up. Felt vexed for you Kath,

stuck waiting for the breakdown folk, and with the flu at the same time.

Oh - and my b/f was very impressed with the network we have!! :roftl: :roftl:

hi pal,

if you pay the bills they wont cut you off, anyway make your own hydro power supply, and why did you have children kept in a big envelope for 4 years, what had they done, was there no right of appeal, did no one miss them? by sticking them in a scrapbook, is that similar to a half way house?get iron from stove just like when you were young, if you can remember that far back. :thumb_yello::thumb_yello::thumb_yello:
