kath
Makes you wonder why they have them.... Sorry if it's controversial, but if you don't want to do the bonding when they're tiny... Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but i can assure you that having just spent two and a half years trying to pick up the pieces when people would rather spend their money on drugs and alcohol than their children...it makes one look at things slightly differently
Wendi
Makes you wonder why they have them.... Sorry if it's controversial, but if you don't want to do the bonding when they're tiny... I kinda feel like that too - but I guess everyone is different!! I would not swap my sleepless night etc for anything - and no-one can take my memories away!! its not, my family said they would be well off without me, but they are not. Maybe not financially..................... Don't mean it
Laurel
I would like the excuse for my inane ramblings tonight to be due to drink - but I'm virtually teetotal... I'm so boring... Nope I think tonight makes up for the dullness of last night .... *Watches tumbleweed blow across the MFC webpage as she yet again refreshes the page to see if there's anyone on at all* That wasn't me last night .... honest... lol
Ruth
Thats true Kath - sorry - you will be great at it - but I would want to bring the baby home with me at the end of the 6 weeks!!! Yes, Wendi, I would too. My sister once looked into short term fostering of babies that were going to be adopted and were taken off their mums at birth. I'm glad she didn't do it. That's the sister who's just become a grandma at 64. My daughter and my son's g/f assure me that I won't have to wait so long

Kept trying dcdeb's page on myspace for news - even looked at Mikasounds. In the end I had to (shock! horrog!) log off and do something in RL. I will have to wait a LONG time before I am a gran!! But I guess thats the right way - because it means the baby has been more or less planned, so is wanted!! kath
Hi Leona! We looked into fostering last year and I would have specialised in babies but I am afraid political correctness and stupid legislation put us off...which is ridiculous as there is SUCH a huge need..it seems crazy to put willing people off

Wendi
Kath - I think you have a very special gift - and you will be great with little "whats his name" - and I dont know how you worked with folk who used their money for drink or drugs!! I saw plenty of that when I was in the Police, and I often felt a great desire to slap them!!! hello, I'm back after a nice afternoon nap! That seagull video was really funny. Glad you had a good nap. Welcome back!! Dull! oh yes it was dull. Kept trying dcdeb's page on myspace for news - even looked at Mikasounds. In the end I had to (shock! horrog!) log off and do something in RL. It was a really weird night - and I kept screen printing the screen to prove how many folk were NOT here!! And playing games on the forum site, anything rather than log out!!

Laurel
lol I was lucky - I only found that thread today ... when MFC was all fine and dandy again... I so don't see him doing that .... and that David Beckham pic leaves me speechless for all the wrong reasons... I AM GETTING OLD PMSL

leonita
The worst thing was not being able to go to the Mikagasmic thread. Especially after all that talk of underwear:blush-anim-cl: you naughty girl! a few hours ago I told a story of a cougar that was running amuck in Chicago, then Crystal told about here experiences learning about Wildlife Control ( but I don't think that's the correct phrase) and we continued with random stories of animals coming into people places, we had a coyote walk into a sanwich shop here, and in Scotland there's a seagull that walks into a store to steal Doritos! kath
Hi Rose, Sorry I am missing you as I am off now If you ever get your pics up please pm me a link so that I don't miss them..I would HATE to miss Mika's handiwork! ( And i am not being rude by saying 'if you ever get your pics up' I know what a nightmare these things can be! No not awkward...we were just being adults for a change and not trivial...that is why it seems odd! Ruth...I can't remember the original quote but yes, I am sure we are in principal! i think that the majority of us on here basically agree fundamentaly about the vast majority of things, it is why we get on so well. I am used to people expressing all sorts of opinions on maternity nannying...all I will say is, that it isn't quite as cut and dry as paying someone to get up in the night so that one doesn't have to do it oneself.....but...enough for one night! Love you all, sweet dreams
