How can anyone not like Mika's newest music vid? :thumb_yello:

It's so amazing in every way. (Probably because Mika's in it. Haha)

I love how it's in a deserted (or so it seems) forest. It's Mika's getaway and sanctuary I guess you can call it. It has a sort of mysterious/haunting feel to it. Not scary, but it's as if anything can come up from behind him kinda feeling. In which that's exactly what happens! All these creatures are lerking around him and creep out of no where. The creatures to me seem to be his thoughts which are harrasing him and want to take over his mind, kinda driving him crazy, ya know? So all of his thoughts (aka the creatures) are circling him and all of a sudden they're just to much for him to handle so he keeps on running! Run Mika run! But no matter how far or how fast he runs his thoughts keep following him wherever he goes and it all turns out to be this huge feeling of just "I gotta get away from here. Anywhere is okay but here!" And in the end...it depends on how you look at it. Some might see it as a light at the end of a tunnel or where the road ends and there's no where else for him to run and he's all alone left with these thoughts/creatures.

Amazing! :mf_lustslow:

So I've realized that I really love the bit where he's surrounded by the people and he throws his arms around his face and they all freeze for a moment. :wub2:

And the part where he shakes his shoulders just a little at the end of his rap.

And I do not find the running/chase scene funny :mf_rosetinted:

I find it desperate and frightening. Especially when he stops and you can see them closing in on him in the background.

I have mixed feelings about the running away,

it looks scary like, GRAB YOUR PITCHFORKS!

but then I laugh because I picture him stopping and having like an asthma attack, then having to use a puffer :lmao:

I love his jump into the air.

How does he get extras for his videos? :S

I have to say that I am totally impressed with this video. It is not the same tired video that has been made countless times...it has character and beauty (even if it is a nightmarish type of beauty!) As usual, Mika has placed his own stamp of creativity on it and turned it into a work of art. Bravo!

Well now that you put it that way! :lmfao:

Maybe it could be funny!

I have no idea. Maybe it's the same people from BIOTG? Since it's the same director? :dunno:

How can there be 38 pages on this already?! I was only away a day! :roftl:

I absolutely love this video. Yes, I think it is much better than BIOTG (even

though I really like that too), this is a completely different type of video,

completely different aesthetic. Did I read somewhere that it was the same

director, though? Interesting if that's true.

For those of you wondering where the rain is -- I think as Ingie said

that would have been too obvious. If you think of this in the context of

a break-up letter, as Mika said it was, then I think the rain is much more

metaphorical -- rain = crying and the sadness that comes from a break-up.

You don't need to have actual raindrops, or at least I don't.

I also think those silvery things hanging from the trees

create a shimmering effect that could be seen as rain-like.

I think artistically this is one of his best shot videos -- the shots of

him jumping with the fireworks in the background are just stellar.

But then again, I really love fireworks :wub2:

I have to say, I really like the idea of comparing Mika running

from the critters, whatever they are, to him desperately trying

to outrun a bunch of fangirls! :roftl:

I'll echo what others have said, I think this just might be my favorite

video of Mika's... so far. :thumb_yello:

It's my favourite Mika video too. Not only because I love it, and love Mika in it, but I also think this video would appeal to more people than WAG did, and possibly win him more fans. I also think those silver dangling things are representing the rain in the video and we don't need to see real rain.

The video is visually stunning from start to finish, and I think it will be a very popular vid on the music channels!
