Don't be shelving that evil inside you, we want more of that evil! :roftl:

:groupwave:

:naughty:

Well, I guess that nobody actually who starts writing songs expects or even is sure they will be a success... ... which is cool, cause finding out people actually liking your work is just one of the nice surprises of life..

Can only do two things now:

1. Say "Enjoy!"

2. Become a fan of you on FB :biggrin2:

Just...be prepared for a lot of genres and a lot of types of music. I don't tend to make 2 songs that will have a similar sound

See,even when you tell me you like it i'm still in the surreal area going "really? mine? really?"

1. Thankyou so much!

2. I got a Fb page too,you can just search for me and I art there :biggrin2:

Even better. I'm not really into bands who tend to make their songs similar... even if they're good, similar songs just make them boring, imho :dunno:

Oh now it's surreal, but one year later when you'll be sitting in some posh London hotel, giving interview and they'll ask you "Joanna, you have sold millions of records and your fan base is huge, how does it feel?" you'll just say "You know, it gets kinda boring" :mf_rosetinted:

:naughty: Alright, I hope (and know) your answer will be different, but... I know it might feel surreal now. But later, when more people get to know your music and like it, it will feel awesome, but not that surreal anymore :-)

1. You're very welcome!

2. Oh I know, I've already seen it (that artist profile of yours I mean) before :fisch: Joined! :wink2:

well for some who do it with the idea of just selling records...they'll find smth that works and use it dry. It's kinda offensive to the concept of music

You probably get used to it yes, but not just yet. And I say it's safer not to assume I'm even gonna have to. Take it as it comes, don't expect, and everything's good. Methinks

It really is... well, but you can mostly tell whether the artist really loves and wants to make music or whether it's just for the money... but you know, you yourself get to choose who you listen to and if there are people who just want to listen to those moneymakers, well.. that's their own business :wink2:

Exactly. :thumb_yello:

2. Oh yeah, I am a professional one :das::roftl: Nah seriously, your artist page came as a suggestion cause like.. 4 friends of mine are fans of you, that's why I had to check out what it's all about =D

well some money makers can be pretty catchy, but it gets old fast. As commercial music always implies overplaying and overpromoting and even the best of things will get annoying if you shove it into anybody's face too much

2. ha! I get suggested? I'm very cool :glasses2: It's just too bad I can't upload music on facebook yet. They have this whole approval thing that is taking too long

Not only they get old fast, but they get forgotten fast as well... But yeah, I guess the people don't really care as long as they have earned the money :sneaky2: ...

You are indeed. That's called stardom. :mf_rosetinted: ... Approval thing on FB? Really? I'm guessing the guy who's supposed to do it kinda forgets to do so because of playing some game all day :teehee:

I feel i need to bang my head against walls when stuff like "baby one more time" is called a classic.... a classic what? classic cheese?

I mean to make Queen and Britney share the term 'classic' is offensive. Quality's gone...there's so few people that don't sell out. it's all gotten from how good you are to how many records did you sell so i can say how good you are

and yes...the hunk in charge needs to check an ID so that he can be sure i have the copyright to distribute the song.... it's not like i WROTE IT...no no... :poke:

Haha, classic cheese... :roftl: Yeah, I have to agree on that one... it really is offensive to real classics... but you know, people who can appreciate them wouldn't call Britney a classic. Guess it's just a matter of recognizing who can appreciate true quality :naughty:

Yeah... or in other words commercialism killed the actual stars :dunno:

Gee... how do they actually figure that out... that might take years as it seems

it can be argued that it's all subjective...i mean i'll admit some 'classics' were basically stoned people who were considered the voice of reason for unknown reasons :roftl: but even so,them stoners still considered music an art, wrote their own stoner / mildly-stoner/ or stoner free tunes themselves and still believed in the ideal of music.

Sad truth is,evolution stopped being a good thing a while ago...

And yes...I don't really get why the creator of a page needs ID verification...since I might as well be an idiot who claims to be some artist's representative and uploads tracks on his own risk. I mean Myspace has the whole disclaimer "i kill you if you upload someone else's stuff" and really...do they care? :roftl:

Haha, nice way of looking at it from the other side... but yeah, i think this argument can quickly be killed with another ones, 1. the one you listed and 2. you could actually recognize the songs back then, cause most of them weren't similar as today... i heard a song recently that describes this problem exactly. It is a little rude, but the point of the song is more or less exactly what i think ..

I think nobody gives a damn really :naughty: Well... I think people actually mind if you steal their stuff and become more successful with that than they do.. :naughty:

Oh Jon is brilliant! :lmfao:

I like the page with the Lyrics :lmao:

It probably has gotten better now,similarity-wise. I mean there still are some genres that to me...are all variations of the same "bla" , like the electro-club thingy...man that bugs me! it's so brainless it hurts.

I did the lyrics and music on a track like that once. You know how hard it is to be brainless when you geneally aren't?

Took me about half an hour to realize that any brainless club tune needs a "baby" in it. I was set from there :lmao:

Or some artists that found the way to make a song sell and they keep using the same formula but with other lyrics

Well yeah, but you basically are just uploading their song,in their name...so it's more like free publicity done by fans. The stealing part isn't jolly, but at least even the braindead think about modifying it a bit
