MIKA @ BBC Radio 2 , The Chris Evans Morning Show 05 June 2015 - from 8 a.m. UK time

As a longtime Billy Joel fan (since 1978), I was really tickled to hear him singing "She's Always A Woman" - definitely worth staying up later than usual for. I'm still on Utah time, so I'm now up until nearly 3 AM, but that was worth it!

I've listened to the show on the catch-up thingy. Here's what I think...

I would have preferred a more in-depth interview about the new album, but there is time for that to happen, before the 22nd of June.

The show was fun. I fast forwarded the bits without Mika, so it wasn't too long. It was nice to hear Emma Willis too, and I'll be watching her new show.

I understood why he sang Lollipop, as it's in the new PP movie and people need to remember it's Mika's song, but I'd have liked him to sing another song from the new album, instead of GK and I didn't realise TAY hasn't been released in the UK yet. It's out in the UK on the 15th of June. But in a way, I'm glad about that, as it needs more exposure if it is to be a hit.

The highlight, for me, was his wonderful cover of AAW. I love that song anyway, and his version was so hauntingly beautiful.

I love how he's so good at talking about any subject and I'm sure the other people present will love him even more now, and hopefully, everyone who has been listening to the show.

I've had a good morning, and the sun is shining too, so I'm very happy.

:)  I've only heard the four songs performed, no interview yet . Didn't  MIKA annonce any UK gigs today!?   I think all the songs were well performed, - his voice sounds recovered!    My fav. was "She's always a woman" which was really lovely!!

I hope a lot of people heard the radio show, cause the atmosphere of what I've heard - the presentation of the songs - sounded so happy and positive!  :fisch:  :thumb_yello:

Nice, sunny day here too - and finally with OK temps!  This week has been very cold, we've even had new snow storms, which resulted in closed roads over the mountain passes!! :mf_rosetinted:   Are we in June og Nov.!?  Now I want summer - together with MIKAs new alb. :teehee:

Love,love

Ohh thank you. If you are bored to receive thanks we should open a crowdfunding of thanks (a crowdthanking) and send you a tons of thanks on a monthly basis :original:

I'm sorry to hear that Mika is not completely well. In the cover of She's always a woman to me (wonderful song, very nice arrangement) he has not the complete control of the voice, especially in the high notes. :(

I hope he gets well for the next concerts.

No he didn't announce anything today. But it wasn't that kind of set-up. There were a few people on the show at the same time, and it was mainly, just talking about different things everyone was doing. I hope there is a one-to-one interview soon, where he can talk more about the album and any gigs in the UK.

We'll have to wait and see,.
