DaMango Posted May 17, 2007 Share Posted May 17, 2007 Hi everyone, I am a new mika fan and my name is Rani. I live near Seattle, WA. I first heard about Mika on a Prince message board (of all places!) and I decided last weekend to check him out on YouTube. Needless to say, my jaw dropped to the floor when I first heard his voice, and I've been hooked ever since. I only wish I could have discovered his music sooner! I am a musician myself, and have a few jazz recordings on my MySpace page, if you wish to check them out. I also write original music that is in more of a blues/rock/pop style. After looking at the current state of popular music, I feared that my own music did not have a place, because it is not like the mainstream. However, Mika has given me hope. He is a lot like my other favorite musicians, (which include Elton John, Prince, Queen, and the Beatles) because he is a unique artist, and doesn't compromise to fit in.
