Not a clue... :blink::roftl:

BUT i hate the way people who aren't intersted in Mika automatically assume Billy Brown is him! :sneaky2::thumbdown:

paople will always be fascinated by the association "public person-gay" and he`s pretty clever to have written the song and now using it to create a bit of confusion.I mean, why not...although I guessing it isn`t him.

And anyway,Billy Brown is kinda bisexual :lmfao:

He said somewhere (don't remember where) that it was a what could happened to friend of him in the future, like the guy is with a girl but might leave her to go with a guy.

First time I heard Billy Brown I taught Mika was Billy Brown's lover...

i have so very often pondered this question.

and i haven't the slightest clue.

though, i think it is definitely about someone.

I was kinda wondering if it isn`t someone from his family....

ok...do ya think this is related?

"Loverboy, its just an illusion to me

Anyboy, I'd show you what you would feel

A pretty boy with a nasty trait,

A funny boy with an ugly face,

Love is just a superficial reaction "

I think I heard the same thing.

And actually, the first time I heard that song I just thought that; maybe the way he's not only telling the story, but making fun of it (a bit/ "Oh Billy Brown you're a victim of our time")

yes!! I saw that too. The interviewer asks : "Is Billy Brown autobiographical?" and Mika says "No... It is based on someone I know, but it is not autobiographical."

ahah well that's it! :wink2:

Okay this is sort of along the same lines..

Me and a friend of mine were debating the meaning of a verse in Billy Brown.

You know the bit that goes:

"Oh Billy Brown needed a place, somewhere to go

He found an island of the coast of Mexico

Leaving his lover and his family behind,

Billy Brown needed to find some peace of mind.

And on his journey, in his travels on the way

He met a girlie who was brave enough to say

When they made love he shared the burden of his mind

Oh, Billy Brown you are a victim of the times!"

So I interpreted that to mean that Billy meets a girl on this island, gets involved with her, they sleep together, and he tells her about his ordeal -y'know, being torn between his wife and his gay lover.

My friend thinks that Billy and this girl on the island have a purely platonic relationship, and they sit around drinkning lattes or something. He thinks the "when they made love" line refers to when Billy made love with his lover back home, and he's simply referring to that when discussing his situation with this girl he met, on a completely friends-only level.

What do you guys think?

well I dunno about that because it could be kinda refering to the girl

cuz it`s like "When they made love he shared the burden of his mind" as in he told her while making love...but that`s just my interpretation...
