B!anka
"could anyone do a video of them playing Lonely Alcoholic but just the chords ???" !! That would be just so cool...I tried to spell it out on the key board and it actually sounds right when played the same chords together like Left hand Right hand G (lower key) G(normal key) Am(lower key) Am(normal key) Em(lower key) Em(normal key) D (lower key) D (normal key) But this is only one part...there is a second one where I cannot find out the notes (still before he starts singing) Left hand Right hand G(lower key) G(normal key) And after it there are 2 separate notes I cannot figure out. __(lower key) Am(normal key) Em(lower key) Em(normal key) D (lower key) D(normal key) Can anyone give a hand or tell if there's been found another thing to play with the left hand? superstar
I was bored Nono forgot to post her Blue Eyes in here. Which was a mistake because it's fantastic! @Nono: I love the way you play the right hand! It's so amazing. Like you. Anyways, I actually play the left hand differently--I play chords at one part, and you play the pattern all the way through.

I just didn't think it was worth posting 'cause it doesn't show you how to play it:teehee: But thanks so much Yeah, it was tricky at first to keep playing the rhythm in the left, but eventually I got it
vixenbbw
sorry i meant 2 say "could anyone do a video of them playing Lonely Alcoholic but just the chords ???" sorry bout my silly dyslexic spelling and gramer misteaks !!! A bientot, Bianca xx I've just started on Lonely A tonight and have got this so far. Intro (played just below middle C) Inverted G (DGB) E minor (EGB) Inverted A minor (EAC) then down to D (DF#A) Inverted G G from octave below just before E minor Inverted A minor D Then repeated like this for the first four lines of singing until ...."Alcoholic" Where is goes back to the Inverted G followed by G then A E minor followed by G then A...? Inverted A minor....?? D ...?? I'm still so new to this playing by ear stuff that as soon as it gets complicated I can't tell whats being played!! It seems to go onto chords with the right hand though. How's anyone else doing with it? I woke up this morning an realised that I'd written the wrong chords down on here even though I was playing the right ones!! Had to come straight on and change my post! Fmbm
Nono, I did read your post but I've not got that far yet!! Still trying to hear the chords he's playing at the end of the verse. You're a piano genius....can't you help me out?? Are you talking about the part with the little piano solo? It's hard to explain. You're pretty much just playing the same chords. The way I play it is: G chord, G chord (without the D), D, Em chord inverted (G, B, E), G Chord (without D), D, Am chord, Am chord (without the E), D, F# + A, G+B, A+C... the + sign means you play those two keys together. That probably isn't the way he plays it note for note, but I hope it helps... And I'm no genius

I just happen to have a good ear Good luck! Let me know how it goes If you want to sing along, here's an mp3 I made of the piano: http://www.sendspace.com/file/fi2plt I recorded that while ago so I didn't know it as well, hence playing the wrong chord in the solo:teehee: It's not great, but if you wanna have something to sing along to it works. Fmbm
LADY JANE Now, I'm not sure how correct this is, but here we go: Intro: F chord inverted (C, F, A)..........Bb+Eb/Eb (x2) (The "/" means you play the Eb key in the left hand...in case you didn't know.) Bb chord inverted (F, Bb, D), then move to a Gm chord C chord inverted (G, C, E) Verse: Lady Jane the river saint, special yes but lucky ain't F chord, F chord/Eb Lady Jane said she walked on water Gm Chord, C chord but she never had a man to show F chord, Bb chord Then one day, she found a fan Gm chord, C chord She was eager just to let him know F chord, Bb chord Lady Jane, she walked on water Gm chord, C chord Followed by her brand new lover A chord, Dm chord Who tumbled along, drowning down below... Bb chord, C chord -repeat some of the intro here- And then I think that's all you need to know to play the rest of the song...
