I was pretty sure BIOTG chords for guitar were F G C Em Am, then you play the first string (E) to start the secuence again in the intro.

F G for the bridge (Like lovers of the good...), C Em Am for the last part of it (are you wishing you were...), and F G Em Am (without the C) for the chorus.

Well, at least it sounds right on my guitar. :bleh:

hey guys,

for Lonely Alcoholic, Mika uses a turnaround (Beethoven invented it first haha) Its basically chord I then VI then II and then V of any key Thats why its also called a I VI II V (1 6 2 5 lol). He plays it in G and uses the 7th extensions. So the chords are:

G Em7 Am7 D7 then back to G

To voice these out nicely play them like this:

G (normal G triad (G,B,D), then keep the same G triad in the righ hand, but just play E with the left hand, so you are playing G over E (G,B,D and E in the left hand), then play C over A for the Am7 chord (G,C,E over A in the left hand).

For the last chord, the D7, just play D7 (F#,A,C,D) with D in the left hand of course. He modulates to A at the end, just do the same thing in A lol

Hope this helped.

Bye!

I'll try it out. Thanks :)

I get lost at the technicalities though (i.e. "I, VI, etc"). I would like to learn how to "speak" music eventually. I'm sure it's very helpful. :blush-anim-cl:

  • 2 weeks later...

Just learned Toy Boy with your tutorial Marie, I didn't get it at first because the sound didn't match the images on the video and I was pretty confused.:roftl: It's quite easy!

And thanks Aurelien, been trying Lonely Alcoholic with what you said:biggrin2:

Not saying that it's wrong, but it doesn't sound the right tone.

Thanks Nono for saying most of the chords when you wrote it for the piano... I wasn't managing to do it so tried on the guitar, figured out that part with the vocals behind etc:bleh: Didn't do much and it's not a tab, but here it is for anyone who might use it..

(The chords are sticking altogether, they should be above the word where you have to play them but it doesn't seem to be like that when I post it...:boxed: When I write it, they're in their places but when I post it and see it they're all "squeezed" against each other... Sorry. Hope you understand it anyway, it's not complicated!)

I seem to have missed this thread before..:teehee:

Here's my Toy Boy cover... I'm considering playing it for my school's music evening, since I've already performed just about every other song I've learnt... (We can only perform and get marked on a piece/song once)

Yeah, you mean chords for guitar? I'm sorry, my English isn't perfect and also I'm not much good at guitar... O : )

Well chords are the same no matter what instrument, aren't they?

It's G, C, Am, D

That's the whole song :naughty:
