He should eat more or keep those suspenders on I love how the band seems to be getting more loose and enjoying themselves on stage. And the new drummer fits in very well. Do we know who he is yet? Il sera à la scène OLM Souissi ce soir à l’occasion de la 12ème édition du Festival Mawazine Rythmes du Monde. Après quelques petites anecdotes pendant sa conférence de presse, Mika nous a fait l'honneur d'une interview en tête à tête : Tu avais charmé le public marocain lors de ton premier concert à Mawazine en 2010 ! ça te fait plaisir de revenir une deuxième fois ? Y-a-t-il une certaine appréhension du coup pour le concert de ce soir ? C'est un grand honneur pour moi de revenir jouer au Maroc, je sais que je suis un des premiers artistes à revenir une deuxième fois jouer à Mawazine et ça me donne une grosse pression (rires). Et quels sont les souvenirs que tu as gardé de ton passage au Maroc en 2010 ? J'ai gardé de très beaux souvenirs du Maroc, au début je ne savais pas à quoi je m'attendais vu que je n'avais jamais fait un festival de cette manière dans le monde arabe et dans l'Afrique du nord. Quand je suis monté sur scène et j'ai vu tous ces gens, il y avait des marocains des espagnoles, des français, des tunisiens, des libanais, un beau mélange je dois dire. Pour un chanteur, quand il est en face d'un si beau public, ça donne un feeling énorme, ça te chauffe le coeur et ça te donne une énergie immense ! Je ne pourrai pas oublier ce public chaleureux qui chantait et dansait ! Justement, tu avais enflammé Mawazine avec un show inouï, est-ce qu'on peut s'attendre à la même ambiance scénique ce soir ? Ce soir, ça sera un show différent mais ça reste propre à mon univers musical avec toujours ces petites surprises (sourire) Tu as sorti "The Origin of Love", ton 3e album, l’automne dernier ! Tu prépares la suite pour bientôt ? En ce moment je suis entrain de préparer la suite et ça sera donc mon 4ème album ! Le son est très pop, il y a beaucoup de piano et tend vers ce son très pur des années 70. "The Origin of Love" est un album tellement produit que je voulais quelque chose de différent, un peu vintage (sourire) dans l'attitude comme dans la prod mais toujours avec un son très pop. Merci Mika pour cette entrevue ! Un petit mot pour les auditeurs de HIT RADIO ? Merci à HIT RADIO, c'est un plaisir d'être de retour au Maroc et à ce festival de Mawazine que je trouve absolument fantastique et beau. Thank goodness I already know Italian somewhat! The French is still a HUGE challenge for me... Spanish a little easier. Yes, being a Mika fan definitely expands your horizons!
