Journalist: It's amazing, i saw this young men near the barriers. And it looked like mika.. and it looks like mika is sitting right in front of me in the Virgin Radio studios.

Mika: how are you?

J: You know, its amazing to have you here! It's pure happiness

M: nah, its a pleasure thank you!

Other journalist: its an honour!!

J: an honor even!

M: no.. *giggles*

J: this international star sitting with us in our studio for the second time at Musilac Festival.

M: its a pleasure...

J: You're known to be doing more than amazing shows on stage...

M: ahh.. *giggles*

J: no its true, i even saw on TV recently that even your mom works on the costumes...

M: its the entire family!

J: the entire family is there! What are you going to give us 2 years after your first appearance here in Musilac tonight. Lets go, make us dream!

M: a show thats going to be totally different. I remember the first time we were here, it started raining and there was lightining and it was really hard. We almost cancelled the show, 10 minutes before. But then we went on stage and had the best festival of the last season. For us, it was the best show. So im really happy to be here. The show is totally different. First, its not raining!

J: yeah, at least you got that!

M: theres more stage design than the last time. But its a festival. So 50% of the show is the audience! It's the relationship between me, the music and the audience...

Other journalist: and you, personnaly, between this festivals and the last one, whats different? How did you evolve in your music, on stage? Do you feel more at ease? or is there more pressure?

M: no, i feel more satisfied in fact. The last time, when i did the album, i was then directly on tour and started to do the promotion in front of 5 people in small clubs and it was very fast. And we toured for almost 2 years. But because of that, we didnt have time to reinvent things. We were always trying to do it while we were on tour. So this time, im really happy because there are different versions. It's not like hearing the albums, its totally different. And that gives me alot of pleasure because for example, even new songs like "Rain", its better on stage and the reaction for the new version is 10 times stronger than for the old version, that is on the CD. It's something totally different.

Other J: we saw you play in Parc Des Princes, and this year you did Bercy. When you can master Parc des Princes and Bercy, can you master festivals?

M: no, not at all. Theres always alot more risks in festivals simply because half of the show is the audience. And also, im really aware that in a show like Musilac, and yesterday we did Vieilles Charrues, that we share the festival with alot of big artists. Theres Paul (??) now singing on stage. So ive got my fans here, but theres also people that buy tickets not only for my show. So thats a challenge and thats what i like the most about festivals.

J: Mika will be on stage later on, we're really impatient. Mika, since you're here, a few words about France...

M: *smiles* I'm lucky! *giggles* I'm lucky that France plays such a big part in my life and im really lucky!

J: well, we were super lucky to have you here with us in our studio!

M: it was a pleasure!

J: and the people here are really lucky to have you on stage here tonight! Mika thank you very much!

M: its sweet, thank you so much..

J: have a good show tonight...

M: no no no!! you have to say "merde"

J: so, "merde" then.

M: there you go!

Other J: there you go!!

J: you'll find the images and the interview on virgin.fr and can you hear it?? a standing ovation for Mika!!

*people cheering*

M: you have to say merde!!!!!

J: merdeeeeee!!!

M: *giggles* see you later!

and how cute is he at the end!!:wub2:

from the "dauphine.com" Musilac is the best festival i've ever done

Roxane , may you help us for the translation???

Mika: Musilac is the best festival i've done

Did Mika do the rain and nice weather at Musilac? (ok, i think the english expression for this is "called the shots":teehee:) Not far, especially about the rain. In 2008, under the flood, it was with his feet in the water and his head in the stars that Mika heated the lake. An unforgettable memory. "Misulac was the best festical i've done", he said yesterday before his show, at the press conference.

So, he came back this Saturday at the Aic-les-Bains lac, on his own initiative. If the sky became dark during the afternoon, it was probably to let Mika be, once again, a magician. "I'm not a sound, i'm a blurred mix in which i create what i want."

And, like always, everything he touches turns into an unforgettable moment. Immersing his fans into his world, its a challenge that he achieves wonderfuly, putting his international hits and his capturing ballads in a flawless stage design. He chose to make us dance on dark choruses while reinventing a kind of pop that doesnt take itself too seriously.

On stage, the artist grew again

A parallel universe, far from the stereotypes of the industry, that works well, and where we're always looking for ourselves. He started to write his new album, and Mika is wondering about French. A language that he loves. A song in French is far from being irrealistic. With a shy smile, we even understand that its a project that he's been thinking about. He spoke about Dorian, other names comes to his mind. It will be for later.

Yesterday night, with a first part a little bit slower and a second part more dancy, he confirmed that the artist grew some more. Like in his albums that talks about childhood, then teenage years.

Mika isnt an adult yet in his discography. Far from being a handicap, its a nice reason to live. To let youself dream, it gives you wings. Even the sky can fall apart.
