welcome, Megan! I play the guitar as well...actually thats not true, since I just started and I'm terrible......I'd never had found out about Mika either, except that my friend gave me a link to his Grace Kelly video.

I never take music reviews seriously, unless they're good and for artists I like...there's always gonna be people who are nasty and jerks for stupid reasons, so I've learned to ignore them...I listen to the music and decide for myself whether its good or not...and regardless of what anyone wants to say, Mika does have talent. I can't really think of more than a couple people who are on his level vocally, (among newer artists) and his songs actually have meaning, unlike some of the mindless junk that seems to be shoved down our throats so often... so yeah...that what I think.... /rant

Can Mika sing in? seeing as he can do some insanely high falsetto stuff, I was just wondering what octave voice he has...three...or maybe four?

I'd try converting my friends but, they seem only to listen to hip-hop/r&b stuff....I'm the only one in the group who does rock/alternative/pop stuff...but I do have this one other friend who I may be able to convert

I've never felt guilty as a huge Queen fan for loving Mika...I was just about to give up hope of finding an artist or band that had the potential to one day lay claim to Queen's crown, when I found Mika. On the contrary to feeling guilty, I feel like he's an artist that Freddie would be glad to see doing well...he's talented, theatrical, and just a teeny bit campy (but in the best possible way! ) and I think that those are qualities that Freddie quite liked... and we can see from Brian May's interest in Mika that he sure isn't guilty about liking Mika.

Yes!...I saw this earlier today on the Queen forums...Brian May knows what he's talking about, seeing as he's been in the music industry for a very long time, and has faced his share of nastiness (from people like that guy that gave Mika 1 out of 5 stars) when he was with Queen in their early days, as I remember reading that many labeled the band as garbage...but look what they became, one of the greatest ever! So lets hope that the same happens for Mika!

Hello to everyone from a huge Mika fan I'm Najee from Chicago in the U.S.A, and I'm 17 (almost 18) years old. I discovered the awesome talent that is Mika when a friend of mine directed me to Mika's Grace Kelly video, saying that she's heard people saying that it was Freddie Mercury reborn (I'm also a huge Queen fan)...what I saw was a skinny dude with a huge voice that gave me chills the first time I heard it, for both its similarities to Freddie, and its sheer power and control...I can't wait to get my hands on Life In Cartoon Motion (which I know came out in the UK today) so I'm hoping it'll be out in the States soon, seeing as Mika is one of the best new artists to burst onto the scene recently.
