  1. I have the Lover of Life, Singer of Songs album, but I just listened to In My Defence for the first time right now, and its awesome...
  2. I actually heard that the stuff he recorded for Mother Love was done just ten days before he died...if thats true, then Freddie is truly a god...
  3. yes, I Want It All is one of Queen's best hard rock songs of their later years. And I agree, all of their later videos are sad...I have their greatest hits II videos, and watching Freddie change is very painful....when I saw the video for These Are The Days of Our Lives, I just couldn't believe it...I've only seen it once, and I don't think I'll be able to watch it again...But it only makes me admire Freddie even more...he was in such pain, yet he let his dedication to his craft take priority.
  4. hmmmm its difficult to say what my favorite Freddie song is, but I think I'll have to go with Made In Heaven, which I think was on one of his solo albums before it got put onto Queen's last album. as for Queen songs....thats a hard one. I'd have to go with: '39 (at the moment, its my favorite out of all of them) Bohemian Rhapsody The Show Must Go On Hammer To Fall The March of the Black Queen The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke Sheer Heart Attack The Millionaire Waltz In The Lap of the Gods In The Lap of the Gods...Revisited Stone Cold Crazy Seven Seas of Rhye Liar My Fairy King Who Wants to Live Forever ...those look about right...but of course there's many more that I love too, but if I listed all of them, this would be a massive post.
  5. Queen easily was the best act from Live Aid...heck, that performance has been cited as the greatest live rock performance EVER, and it easily was...those guys knew how to get the crowd going, and the stage was where they were born to be......and as for a Queen box set, if that ever comes about, I'm hoping for some rarities like early demos and stuff...I'm itching to hear the version of the song Sheer Heart Attack that Roger Taylor did lead vocals on rather than Freddie...
  6. ^^^^I love your sig!....the Millionaire Waltz is one of my favorite Queen songs...
  7. Well, what can I say about Freddie Mercury...I think the phrase 'The greatest male vocalist in the history of popular music' pretty much sums it up. (no offense to Mika, who's well on his way to challenging Freddie's title ) Not only was he an amazing singer, but he wrote some of the best songs I've ever heard, from those that are simply breathtaking, like Love of My Life, or those that are filled to the brim with stunning emotion, like Somebody To Love. Then you have songs that are complete artistic masterpieces, such as Bohemian Rhapsody, The March of The Black Queen, and my namesake, The Fairy-Feller's Master Stroke. All of these things, combined with an out-of-this-world personality make Freddie truly great. /Freddie Mercury Praising :
  8. I haven't been in the Cherisse thread in ages! :wub2:
  9. I was recently obsessed with Amy Lee from Evanescence too...and for some reason I really like Ana Matronic from Scissor Sisters
  10. They do look alike!...in fact as soon as I saw the title to this thread, I knew that it would be about that, even though I'd never thought about it before...
  11. I was obsessed with the Killers too... Brandon Flowers is the only I guy I've ever had a mancrush on...
  12. I was obsessed with Queen. I'd only been listening to them for a few months when Mika came about, and I was really hooked...now I'm obsessed with Queen and Mika. :punk:
  13. Thanks for that! he's had an entry on there since a bit before the album came out, but there's new stuff on there, and there wasn't a picture the last time I checked it. :punk:
  14. yeah, Mika's braces rock...especially since no one else who's cool wears them.
  15. wow....just...wow...thats amazing! Its just beautiful and really well done. Bravo! :thumb_yello:
  16. I've got a Kyocera Cyclops...and my ringtone is Grace Kelly!
  17. thanks! I remember when I first heard the intro how much I wanted to be able to play it...then I saw when Freddie played it live at the Wembley concert and I was floored by how fast he was playing, so when I first got it right I was making random friends and relatives listen.
  18. yeah, the difficult part is getting the speed of the main piano riff right...there's only about 7 or 8 chords in for the most part, which repeat with a tiny bit of variation, but how fast it has to played is what makes it hard...It took me about two weeks just to get the speed right...
  19. I really need to learn to read sheet music...I managed to learn to play the insanely fast piece of work that is Seven Seas of Rhye on the keyboard without sheet music but I don't know much else...
  20. I kinda like the Kerching part...but does it, um, have a meaning? or is it just something that Mika made up?
  21. well, I'm certain that Cherisse could make any mustache look good...especially one of those cool Freddie Mercury-esque ones. :roftl:
  22. haha...I just started listening to them a couple months ago...now I have I think 8 of their studio albums...so yeah, I collect music.
  23. I don't really collect toys...but I collect music...buying about 500 songs off itunes and importing from CD's in the past few week and a half dosen't make addicted, does it?
  24. Mika and Brian! freakin' awesome! Mika the rising star and Brian the rock god :punk:
