  1. uhm...i've been away lately so i'm not up to date on this present thingy, and i tried to read through the whole thread but it's soooo loooong... so, could anyone be kind enough to make like a list of the present ideas so far? pretty please with lollipops on top? <makes puppy eyes> (ps: shouldn't we maybe find another place to discuss this so that it will be a surprise? - taking into account the fact that mika famously stops by for a peek in here every once in a while)
  2. i'd started wearing colourful things bout a year or two ago, so i can't say it's 100% mika, but he's made my world that much more colourful for example, i always wanted a pair of yellow sneakers, but i didn't have the guts to slip out of my hiking boots/white training shoes confort zone. and i was out a few weeks ago to buy some yellow shoelaces and then i just saw these very colourful yellow/orange/green stripey converses and i didnt hesitate an instant. mika's really helping me sort out one of my biggest problems, which is thinking too much
  3. :roftl: :roftl: :roftl: thanx, you guys! really needed a good laugh!
  4. so cute! it's really nice!captures all the essentials in just a few lines ...love it!
  5. neah! don't think so...if you guys hadn't pointed it out i would never have given it a second thought...it looks just like a great band should look and you'll see that kind of interaction between members of any solidly-fused charismatic kick-a** band! not saying that this disproves that theory but it doesn't prove anything either...they look like they're having a great time on stage and it's part of what makes the band click and the show rock!
  6. wow, those are STUNNING pics, summer, real pretty! and a chateau:wub2: ... i really wish i could go to every single place i've seen in this thread one day...
  7. i'm afraid that if he's read some of the stuff on this forum he's sure to have found some much weirder things coming from his fans:naughty:
  8. no way! i don't think so...i hope not...though it would be one of the funniest trials ever:roftl:
  9. couldn't find much, there's a little something on these threads http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1017&highlight=sheet+music http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=765&highlight=sheet+music it's only been a little while since mika broke into the mainstream so sheet music and tabs are really hard to find, but if you can play piano then your best shot is to watch some mika live videos and follow the man himself you can also go to ultimate-guitar.com they have guitar tabs there, but the chords are the same. there's a really good video of mika playing love today all by his little self and it's got a brilliant view of what he's playing(can't remember which though) and i've pretty much worked out that song, only i'm really low on time now, but as soon as i can write the sheet music or the chords i'll post them;)
  10. wait a moment....<searches frantically>
  11. well, i don't know what some of them are called(found them in some chord charts, but the names were too long to remember) so i'll just spell them out so to speak it's something like D - ? - D7 - G - ? -and D again 2---2---2---3---0---2 3---2---1---0---3---3 2---0---2---0---3---2 0---0---0---0---0---0 0---0---0---2---0---0 0---0---0---3---0---0
  12. i've got a brother, Ariel, he's 19 and a freshman! we're just about at that age where we're somewhere between hating eachother's guts and being the world to one another. i really look up to him and a thumbs up from my bro is worth more to me than one from anyone else!(and i owe it to him to have introduced me to real quality music, him and my dad:wink2: )i have a picture of him posing as a drummer/rabi , but i can't post it cause well...yup, he'd kill me, but it's funny trust me!
  13. i love Italian, sounds great(especially when coming from valentino rossi:wub2: )! i can pretty much understand what it means when i read it or hear it(that is if the person doesn't talk too fast) ecause it's closely related to romanian, but speaking it is a much harder nut to crack..i might get some grammar books when i get some spare time.but this thread helps too:biggrin2: and about the pronounciation, you could try first explaining the general rules by making analogies with words in english(such as perché - ketchup) and then explain how to pronounce exceptions when you encounter them. and you can also highlight the longer or accentuated vowels by using capital letters(like italiAno). and the rest...just improvise:thumb_yello:
  14. to tell the truth i had totally forgotten today was april 1st, but my mum made sure she pranked me as soon as i got up, so i remembered:blush-anim-cl: and i was actually expecting something more like someone saying that he/she is actually mika (glad no one did, it would have been pandemonium!!)
  15. smart idea!(pretty predictable though:bleh: )
  16. yep, i'm pretty sure my brother would have done the same, but don't mind him, it's just what brothers are for:naughty:
  17. oh my gosh! i just saw the scrapbook...it's so beautiful, and all the details you put into it...i'm speechless! and seing my letter there i felt so ashamed, like it wasn't worthy enough to be there! i have no idea how i had the guts to send it in the first place(this fella must really have got to me), but i'm glad i did, and i'm very very very thankful for all your've done!
  18. aahhhh...sports are so cool! and i think the olympic games are simply brilliant...the way people stopped all wars during the games in ancient greece, i think that just showes that there's something to the values that the games represent that embodies the human spirit!(doesn't make much sense, i know, but you get the picture:blush-anim-cl: ) anyway, my objective would be to go to every edition of the olympic games i can from now on...i'd really love to go to beijing in 2008 and i am saving money, but it's more at the dream stage now...oh well...oh, and roland garros! gotta make it there some day and take some of that red clay home with me!
  19. hey!i learned that too! there was a video of some other artist(other than mika and harry nilsson) on youtube and that helped a lot. it's pretty fun to play(it wouldn't hurt if i had something even resembling a voice...). what chords do you use?
  20. i don't think that's such a bad thing...i mean, as long as people are coming to the shows and downloading his tracks, he's getting across to an ever audience and it's only a matter of time before they get obsessed enough to buy the record
  21. awwww..........gosh Valv, that pic is just the cutest!
  22. i feel exactly the same! couldnt have put it better myself:thumb_yello: and i know how you must feel not being able to play professionally, cause i got to a point a few years ago when i fell in love with a bunch of sport actually, like tennis and basketball and figure skating and i just fell into the biggest depression because i felt so old and useless and blamed my parents for not enrolling me at a sport club when i was little...i really felt like that's what i was meant to be, but i got over it eventually. just enjoying watching the pros on tv or playing around with my friends is wonderful enough
  23. good one:roftl: i fell in love with tennis a few years ago when i saw the roland garros final between guillermo coria and gaston gaudio...it really broke my heart, and i really wanted to learn, only i never got round to it because i felt a bit embarassed because i was kinda old to start courses and i didnt have a racket and so on and so forth, but i'm hoping maybe this summer will be the one i take the big step...until then i'm stuck watchin tv...love andy roddick and guillermo coria, even if he's been in a slump for like forever, and rafa is pretty cool too...i'm sorry for federer, but i really get the biggest kick out of seing him lose. he's just so brilliant, it's nice to find out he's human once in a while..got a bit off track there, but back to the point, really nice to have you here and be sure you'll have a great time!
  24. well, my eyes are kinda hazely and almost everybody says they're brown , but in bright sunlight, or when i'm crying they look pretty green(cause then my eyes become a bit red, and that creates contrast). and that goes for most people, light and a range of other factors influence what colour your eyes seem to be at a given time
  25. wow!i always see it on tv...it's basically a legend! must be pretty cool to live right next to it!
