I submitted a request for all the various myspace accounts more than a month ago -- Lollipop Girl, Mrs. Brown, etc. -- and one by one they are dropping off my pending friend requests list. I didn't realize that would happen -- thought they would stay on indefinitely. I must admit, I didn't expect to be accepted to Mika's personal myspace -- I'm sure he needs someplace that's just HIS, without all the craziness of fans badgering him But I had hoped to be accepted into the others -- I have to say I feel a little rejected. <sniffle> Of course, that didn't stop me from requesting again dcdeb

I thought he might have done the whole song to warm up a bit. I'm totally put out that they didn't ask him any questions -- but at least they did do a few minutes' interview And I think I enjoyed this performance of Grace Kelly best of all that I've seen him do this week. For someone who's not a morning person, he certainly exhibited a lot of energy! And I loved Cherisse's outfit -- I'm so glad they don't forget about her back there behind the drums! Sure wish I could be in New York tonight, or even for tomorrow... but since I was just up there a few weeks ago, I couldn't get away again this week. Dagnabbit! Arrrghh! It looks like he performed Love Today for the studio audience -- we only got a few seconds of it. Now we have to endure another medical story... he's going to be on at the very end. dcdeb

Well, they just said that Mika won't be on until the LAST half-hour of the program, which means after 8:30 Eastern. Another half-hour to wait... dcdeb

Just spotted this on the official Mikasounds.com website: New single, SXSW TV performance and MSN Webcast 27/03/2007 Over the next few weeks, Mika’s new single ‘Love Today’ will be released in both digital and physical formats with a variety of versions and remixes available. Digital formats will be available from 16th April with the physical release a week later on the 23rd. Stay tuned for specific release details as we get nearer the time. In the meantime you can catch Mika this Friday (30th) on Channel 4 on ‘South by South West Festival’, a programme that features live performances from several SXSW participants including the man himself. I will absolutely echo that 100 percent! Thank you, Sivan! You bring such a wonderful positive energy, and I'm so thankful you're here! As for Mika -- well, I realize that at my age I'm not supposed to be so into pop music or anything so "frivolous." I'm supposed to be a sedate and dignified middle-aged suburban mom, cleaning the house, shopping for groceries, listening to stodgy, bland oldies, and doing all those mundane things that being "normal" means. I'm certainly NOT supposed to be listening to anything fun and funky, something that makes me want to dance around the house with the stereo cranked up to "11." But you and your music touch me, uplift me, inspire me to buck the norm, and make me remember what it was like to be 18 and idealistic and free of all the constraints that society wants to impose on a person. You wouldn't think a handful of innocent little tunes could have such an impact, but yours definitely have. Thanks for sticking true to your vision, and for being such a powerful influence on my life. And thanks for being so sweet to Sivan, when she met you with the scrapbook -- you not only made HER happy, but all of your fans as well! dcdeb

Sorry this is confusing you -- the explanation is this: Target and Best Buy each have a different *exclusive* version of the CD. The Target version has two special bonus tracks, and the Best Buy version has two different special bonus tracks. You can only by the Target version at Target stores, and you can only buy the Best Buy version at Best Buy stores. Other retail shops in the US, like Tower, have a different version of the CD, which may or may not have bonus tracks. There may be others with other special tracks, so they would probably have different bar code numbers, too. As long as the CD is by Mika and called Life in Cartoon Motion, then you have the right CD -- there are other "Mika" CDs out there by other groups. But there is only ONE true MIKA! dcdeb
