  1. i also thought it would be a problem at the big venues with many doors, but thanx to john it worked out just fine in germany and basel - the numbers got an extra queue, kept in order of the numbers and were let in before all the rest. so if you arrive as one of the first 50-100 (depending on how far the list goes, we always stopped at around 60 the latest...) you can be sure to get in before those who arrived late. i hope they keep doing that in france too, it's a perfect system! at least if the numbered people agree to stand in line and not start pushing. that's why we stopped at 60, so it would still be manageable. not sure if it works if there are 100 or more numbers like it might be at a huge venue like paris... it always depends on the people...
  2. thing is, i've always liked the shirtless parts, already in 2007 and still now... but normally i'm just like "niiiice! :das:" about it, at least at the gigs, as there the vibe normally isn't special when he undresses, it's just mika without a shirt. but basel was more than just "niiice!", the vibe was different, i was seriously drooling at him and at the same time wanting to kick myself for it - it's one thing to drool at pix+vids, but another doing this while being front row at a gig where he keeps making eye contact all the time! but i just couldn't help it. i really should get a grip. agree in a way though with what you said about teasing and slightly unbuttoned shirt, and tbh i think i prefer him to be shirtless for just one or two songs, not for the whole gig like in that london gay club last year - that might indeed be too much - i wasn't there, and ok i wouldn't mind having been there... but i guess either i couldn't concentrate on the music at all, which would be a shame, or i'd get too "used" to it if i watched a whole show with him being shirtless, the teasing would be totally gone, if you know what i mean... so yeah, i also like the teasing, but i like to know the whole truth in the end as well!
  3. happy you like them. btw, have you seen his abs in the WAG video? at the beginning/between the intro and the song... now that's a real sixpack, in that light anyway, i was like when i saw it at the show, hadn't noticed before that his abs were that defined! and no, i won't feel bad for mentioning that or for not being able to hold my camera straight during wag , as he must've invested a lot of time+sweat in that sixpack, and probably didn't do that for hiding it from the world or for people saying "don't talk about his body, it's all about his music". it honestly was hard for me to concentrate on the song, maybe he should go back to undressing only for half of it - i always loved WAG at the shows for the "we are not what you think we are!..."-shouting, but i think in basel i totally forgot to shout along, was too distracted!
  4. ah that's good to know, thanx. never been to any gigs in france (whether mika or any other artist), just from what i know about some of the french fans when they come to other gigs, and from what i read here about camping out, it's not hard to feel a certain panic. i certainly can do without being there at 7 am, if it's up to me! but i'll depend on kanni+antoine+graciosa anyway, staying with them at the place of antoine's friends, so i'll go when they go, whenever that might be.
  5. aww i love this 2nd part, he's so adorable in it, and the interviewer seems to be a fan. t4p!
  6. good. i just remember a few months ago i read somewhere on the forum from a french fan (don't remember who it was though) that at the french gigs the numbers system isn't used. but good to hear that that's not true.
  7. thanx. don't have lollipop on video this time though, only pix... here's the rest of my videos: part of WAG: toy boy with talk before & text messup (poor mika, you could see he wasn't happy... but still: LOL! and: aww! ): part of GK (french/english):
  8. the front row in paris is gonna be a lot bigger though than the one in vienna. btw, i've heard that the numbers system isn't used at the french gigs, is that true? cause it doesn't really make sense to be there in the early morning if everyone tries to push their way to the front later anyway...
  9. nope, only in asia and i think australia, where he had that video screen. would've loved to see it live too, it looks so fab in the videos!
  10. mine too. but only on the 2nd date - so each of us gets their own special birthdayparty, haha!
  11. more vids (the rest will follow tonight): dr john intro: (i think the first & maybe even the 2nd time it wasn't intended that the sack fell next to the suitcase... but this time it certainly was planned this way ) small part of touches you: (sorry i just can't stand still during that song ) talk & over my shoulder: band introduction & happy ending (including the smoke machine part ): LT intro, for the LGs/BGs talk & beginning of relax (this talking bit was where he told about the gig almost being canceled):
  12. ok fab, see ya in paris then! i might for a change not be busy there with working on dresscodes/presents, or organizing the queue, like i was on the german gigs (they wouldn't understand me anyway, as i don't speak french! ), so i guess i'll have time to chat.
  13. why would the vibe be depressed after OFB? ok, PUOTF is a slow song, but why OFB? it was fantastic when he did it on the US tour. maybe it just doesn't work in korea/asia for some reason, but if that's the case he just should adjust the setlist depending on the country/continent/culture where he's performing, and not kick out the song completely.
  14. thanx. btw, you were in munich, right? can't believe i missed you AGAIN! or did we talk without me realizing it was you?! about OFB, i wouldn't give all hopes up on that one yet... when we asked him in december whether he'd do GGG on the tour, it didn't sound AT ALL like he would. but he did it at every single show this year. if the new show really is supposed to be as different from the old one as he says, he has to change some songs in the setlist as well. maybe GGG will be replaced by OFB again. we'll see. as long as he keeps touches you and love today, i'm fine. and if he adds kick ass too, i'm in heaven...
  15. my first few videos are up: talk before sitm: sitm trumpet solo: i see you: off to bed now, more vids tomorrow. night.
  16. listened again now, i think he says "you didn't know you were here to see the phantom of the opera, did ya?", relating to the whole stage being hidden in smoke. and the name doesn't sound like henry to me, more like bert? i don't know the names of the striped crew guys, is there a bert among them?
  17. yeah i had similar thoughts. but the plural was only for the drugs, not for the being sick. maybe he just drugged his whole team so it wouldn't be that obvious that he was drugged. which makes me remember a funny bit during the band intro - the guy who operates the fog machine suddenly covered the stage in fog during the band intro - so mika started laughing and added "and (name) at the fog machine" to the introductions and something about phantom of the opera, i don't understand it in the video with my crappy headphones now, you can try to figure it out when i upload it (tonight or tomorrow).
  18. ah fanny i just watched some of my videos and heard what you meant about drugs. he said they wanted to cancel the gig the day before, but in the end didn't as it was the last one: "we took a lot of drugs and made it happen". which gives me 3 feelings: drugs: made it happen: "we": btw, iirc he said in the end that he's happy he didn't cancel it. and i really hope it didn't hurt his voice or anything that he did it although he was sick. hope he made a few calls to his doctor before making that decision. like always, i have mixed feelings about it... on the one hand i want him to rest when he's ill, on the other hand i'm really happy he didn't cancel the show. sigh.
  19. newspaper reviews: a positive one: http://www.schwaebische-post.de/481916/ and those 2 aren't really negative either, but the journalists didn't get him - "only for teenagers" the first one, calling him gay the other. sigh. http://www.suedkurier.de/news/kultur/kultur/art410935,4232443 http://www.pz-news.de/Home/Nachrichten/Kultur/Die-Buehne-als-Selbsttherapie-Exzentrischer-Pop-mit-Mika-_arid,185532_puid,1_pageid,21.html
