I must admit, I was kind of half expecting to be unimpressed with this album, but it completely surpassed all my expectations. TBWKTM seems to have a more sophisticated feel to it than LiCM, especially on tracks like the quietly melancholic 'By the Time' and the jazz-tinged 'Pick Up Off The Floor'. There are a range of different genres present on this album (just compare 'Rain' with 'Blue Eyes' and 'Toy Boy', for instance), but all tracks retain that certain 'Mika-ness' to them that we know and love. My only real criticism is that the chorus of 'Touches You' sounds very, very similar to the chorus of George Michael's 'Father Figure', both lyrically and musically, which I find decreases my enjoyment of the song slightly. (Not that I have anything against George Michael, though; I actually quite like his music.) Overall, I think this is quite a fantastic album - 8.5/10 from me!

I much prefer 'The Boy Who Knew Too Much' over 'We Are Golden' for the album's title, as I think the former sums up the album's general theme much better than the latter.

I got mine on Saturday too, and I also ordered it from Amazon. I was surprised but very pleased to get it so early And I think I might actually like this album better than Life in Cartoon Motion... :eek: it's certainly surpassed my expectations!

I think the whole of by Grup Tekkan easily wins the award for worst lyrics ever. (Not to mention worst singing ever...) Some (translated) examples: "Baby, you're what I've always dreamed of, your lips taste like ice on a heated Sunday..." "Where are you, my sunlight? I look for you and I miss you I respect only you Because of this you know it: I love you." "You are the end of the rainbow" :roftl: (The full German lyrics are available here.)

I have a habit of being a little absent-minded and getting words from two different sentences or names mixed up sometimes, and today was no exception. While listening to 'Pink Moon' by Nick Drake for the millionth time today, I went into daydream mode for a bit, as I so often do... and when my daydream subject got onto Nick Drake, his name somehow came out as 'Pink Drake' in my head I think that's how I'll refer to him from now on... I've done this before with Fad Gadget and Frank Tovey - I ended up with 'Frank Gadget'!

Siegfried x Hilde = YES!! I can't stand the idea of Siegfried x Sophitia, though. Not only is Sophitia married with kids, but I'm just not feeling anything between her and Siegfried. I think that if the two did become close, she'd be more like a big sister to him or something. But Siegfried x Hilde? JA, PERFEKT I haven't even played Soul Calibur 4... XD;
