  1. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too! Hope all is going well. Not too much is happening here. We bought a single bed for the little man cause eventually he'll be out of the cot, and we ended up moving him into the bigger room. I bought a sewing machine and am planning on doing a bit of sewing, and it looks like I'll be buying a brand new mobile to replace my 6-7 month old one cause I decided to take it for a swim in the bath last night My phone's totally like Yeah, smilies are fun
  2. Not just yet. I've got a neurologist's appointment at the end of January that involves an EEG. If that looks all good then we'll have a chat about coming off the Tegretol (which will be good cause it makes any further pregnancies a little less high risk). I also want to see how well I go with losing weight so yeah, not too sure when exactly. Would be good if it was within the next year. Speaking of losing weight, I lost 1.1kg in the first week (which included eating chocolates and icecream) and then I lost 2.2kg this week!
  3. Sure is. It's looking to be a pretty hot Summer so there'll probably be more bush fires. Speaking of fires, there was a little fire behind Mum's work yesterday afternoon. It only charred the metal fence a bit but when Zoe went down to check the place out there were some teenagers sitting nearby and watching. I suspect they lit it on purpose. Mum was saying she's going to have a chat with the police to see if there's any kids that have been paroled to family in town. I reckon ebay will be your friend, but just do a quick search to see what certain things have sold for price wise first. I'm sure we can let people on here know that you're selling Mika stuff and share links and stuff. But yay for moving in with the boyfriend! Awww, everyone's all growing up! *sheds tear* Well, not much is happening here. Mister Man is starting to walk now, and Zoe and I are going to a personal trainer to get in shape and we're getting meal coaching as part of it as well.
  4. Ooooh, that would give me an excuse to go for another visit to NZ! Haven't been there since January 2011..
  5. At least it's only a temporary thing. I forgot how much stuff I had before I moved into the house here. It was almost like Christmas when I unpacked everything! The biggest problem was finding places to store all my crap.
  6. Well the party went pretty well, we had about 50 people over and seems like everyone had a good time. The kids definitely did, they were running around the yard and in the house. My cousin brought her two foster kids along (one was there for respite and was about 9, and the other was a 4 month old bub). Samuel got very spoilt. He got a few trucks, books, clothes, some blocks and some outdoor play equipment. We also got him in for a photo session with a little cake. Turns out he doesn't like getting green icing on himself. Thanks silver! That cake looks scrumptious! Ah, makes sense now! I thought I may have missed something. Thanks for the birthday wishes! I ended up getting the job at Myer, so I'm in Menswear and Childrenswear. It's not too bad, and people seem to think I'm doing a good job so that could mean I'll have a job after Christmas I agree on the updates... Ooooh, good luck with the moving and doing up the house etc. Hmmmm... that's ringing a bell Ooooh bugger, better get ready for dinner (we're going out for our second wedding anniversary!
  7. Hey, I just signed the petition and also added the link in my siggie.
  8. What the hell, I'll put in for this... Favourite song: Lola Country: Australia Venue: Sydney Opera House Yeah, I think Mika should come to Australia and do his orchestra thing in the Opera House... And it's coming up to Summer
  9. Thanks. I really should catch up on all the Mika stuff. I feel so slack. Ooooh, I went to two job interviews over the last week - Last weeks one was a group interview at one of the local department stores (Myer), and this week was one at a local computer fixing type store (Need a Nerd). Myer is a Christmas casual job with the possibility for work after January, and Need a Nerd is Monday to Friday full time. Not sure how I'll go with Need a Nerd, but apparently I was the stand out in the Myer interview So yeah, that's all I've been up to... besides organising a birthday part for Samuel.
  10. Hey, just poking my head into see if anything's happening. We had the funeral today for my cousin (he passed away last Thursday). It was quite sad, but it was so good to see all the family and friends coming together (especially his family & friends from Northern NSW). It snowed here today so he would've liked that, though it didn't settle.
  11. Awww, I know what that's like! In 2009 I decided on a whim to go to the US for a gig as I was sick of waiting for Mika to come back to Australia. Anyways, I managed to get talked out of going and I was so upset and regretted it (looking back, it was a good thing as I would've been very sick in the US if I had gone). What I can say is get stuff like passports organised and just have a bit of a look at accommodation and public transport now so you've got a bit of an idea before you need to worry about it. Oh, and welcome
  12. We actually got snow on three days, but the day I didn't take a pic there wasn't much. We did build a snowman. It lasted quite a while, eventually I came out the front and there was just a carrot, some twigs and a rock. I think there's some photos on my camera. He's very cute! I'm thinking of doing a Batman themed photoshoot for his first birthday, seeing as I bought a really nice cape and mask from eBay. Yeah, the convention wasn't too bad. We spent most of the day waiting in lines for photos and autographs so we didn't get to have that much of a look around but did manage to buy some stuff. We both got really sore swollen feet, but it was worth it Yes, vaguely. I think that was one of the last times I remember it snowing enough in town to actually make a snowman. My brother made it for my nephew and he was only little. Our snowman this year was much bigger, though that could be cause I now know how to make one properly
  13. Yeah it's a good one isn't it? Good one! Ooooh yeah, we've gotten a wee bit of snow over the past week... 17/7/15 17/7/15 12/7/15 Aaaannndd... Here's some pics from the convention... Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings) Bruce Campbell David Wenham (Lord of the Rings) Jewel Staite (Firefly) And a couple of pics of Little Man...
  14. Sure do! can't wait! And a bit excited to see wedding pics. I must've missed it, but when did you change to growing algae? I third the request for pics It's out in Oz now (according the the Sanity website). I can't see the cover and they don't have any track listing. It may have changed since I checked. I haven't gotten it yet, though what I've heard is okay. I guess it'll grow on me. I might do up a bit of a review, so if anyone's keen, feel free to take part Yeah, very quiet. We have seen a couple of new Aussies pop up recently but that's about it.
  15. Haha, knew there would be something you'd know him from. I think I do or a fair bit... Oh yeah, that too. I think I watched it a bit at first, but I lost interest. Ooooh, I think I need the new TOFU figurine... Righto then, I've made a mention of it on FB. Ally seems up for harassing stations, and I also contacted Zak and he seemed a bit excited that I mentioned Mika would like to come back to Oz.
  16. Oh sorry, I forget not everyone knows the random actors I'm obsessed with. His name's Bruce Campbell, he originally starred in a horror movie called Evil Dead and also starred in Xena (as Autolycus) and and is good friends with Sam Raimi, who is a director (he directed the first 3 Spiderman movies as well as The Quick and the Dead and Oz the Great and Powerful). Definitely haven't be a Miss for a little while. Yeah it's pretty good to be doing something separate, but I think I'll miss them both. My mum will have the little man from when I leave till Derek finishes work on Friday, then he'll stay with Derek till I get back. You know, sometimes I wish I could pull the exact same faces that we have as emoticons...
  17. I'm a little excited at the moment. I'm going to Melbourne at the end of the month to meet this guy *points down* Bit annoyed that Derek can't come (he has to work and his days off aren't till the 2nd week of July). Oh well, might be able to take him there some time soon.
  18. I think silver is checking on the Canadian reps, and if they need another one you can ask her. Awww thanks, I can't take credit for it, I didn't do the actual photoshopping, I only suggested that Mika looked like a Wiggle in a picture.
  19. Very well! I wasn't sure we'd do that well. Hey Sonelle, welcome! So whereabouts in Oz are you from? Hopefully things will get a bit busier around here...
  20. I haven't seen the Canadian reps for a while either. I guess if there's no-one else around to take it on you could do it. It's not really about posting a lot, it's more about checking for new fans from your country and helping them out with anything they need.
