  1. Yes her name is Valérie Lemercier. On the day she did the back up vocals she told Mika she had just heard the "Pour votre santé bougez plus" thingy they had on to French commercials for food nowadays "Move more for your health" and he got the idea for the song that opens his album from that slogan In commercials for cars they also add that walking is better... And for bets commercials that they can get addictive... And for alcohol commercials that drining should be moderate... Like people have no brain in 2023 Some don't but not the majority I hope As far as what Mika said about Jane Birkin he said his mum would book a restaurant and always got her reservation because her voice sounded like Jane Birkin's and when a Lebanese mother with five kids turned up in the restaurant they were expecting Jane Birkin and it was a shock for them and they would always tell her "Your voice sounds just like Jane Birkin's" and she answered: "Yes I know" And he also said for him Jane Birkin was someone who seemed to be free and did her own thing without caring about conventions. So he would have liked to feel as free as her. He says maybe it was that way back then as well. There was more freedom.[ For example she often dressed as a guy with jeans and a t shirt which was unconventional for a woman back then and it became fashionable because of her..].(the part in brackets is not what Mika said but I watched a documentary about Jane Birkin in which it was said. She also played with the fact that she barely had breasts and was a bit androgenous but yet very sexy and feminine.
  2. You're welcome :hugIove: had no success with my e-mail, that's why I linked it to my fb account because I was desperate to hear Domani and I have used it again to listen to Andy's podcasts and get a reminder when they were out. It works if I install the free ap on my phone.
  3. I guess you get a notification so you can hear it as soon as it is online. Also I belleve it's a good thing to do because the more people do this, the better it is for Mika and the success of his album. I did it with my free spotify account. I sign in with facebook and after that it's easy to presave it. But it won't be out before midnight so the first minute of Friday the 17th (French time)
  4. How could I forget we had more lyrics Thank you Anna This song is going to be amazing
  5. My instinct is that he talks about his age as he sings like a little boy in a very quiet voice How can we survive untll Friday now?
  6. Yes but it moves me in a strange way like butterflies in my stomack. it vibrates in a lower tone I think.
  7. That's what he sing. My guess is rhat he sings about his age, not about his size so I would translate it that way: "Sometimes I am too grown up, sometimes too little" Of course we have to wait for the contest to be sure. @mellody @lormare73
  8. Yes he does Thank you Deb I'm still watching in case Mika sang with Vianney but it seens Vianney will sing with Kendji so my hopes are not too high....
  9. Mika just sang C'est la vie. I loved it (recording from TV and my earphones were on sorry it's not very good but I wanted to share) 20231110_212729.mp4
  10. I google translated Caroline's fantastic report and fixed a few words google translate had slightly messed up Thanks a million for your report and your photos and videos @Carolinechedo And I can't wait to watch the whole show Hello, As promised, here is a little throwback to my getaway to the village docks in Marseille to meet our Mika I am attaching some photos and videos of this moment and Maritima will put the video of the show online on Saturday noon. Mika arrived late, only 30 minutes for us on the schedule, but 1 hour for him..... he arrived relaxed and calm while admiring the site. It's true that the Docks are worth seeing, a mix of ancient stones and modern mosaics, very beautiful. he did the soundcheck for 10 minutes and we entered this cozy place. Once settled, Mika joined us, all smiles enjoying this place. Marc Hernandez brought him tea and he told us he had a carrot cake in his dressing room. one of my neighbors said “I want to taste it” and Mika asked for the cake! A hostess brought all the cakes from his dressing room to the very small table as you can see in the attached photo He couldn't touch it since he was talking and talking, but at every commercial break, he was playing with it and devoured them with his eyes!! It was quite comical. He explained the gigantic work carried out for the Rugby World Cup show, the organization, the costumes, the re-orchestration what was planned because it did not please the public, the rehearsals... He also told the children that You always had to keep smiling no matter what, even if the public was unhappy, always smile. Huge work for 5 minutes of show!! Another anecdote about the SNCF advertising, where he had to film in several countries, in the cold, the rain, he was so wet that he wore a wetsuit under his costume! and when he arrived in Marseille, Saint-Charles station, alone in the world, in this mythical and silent place, just for him, he was jubilant! Ditto for the broadcast on December 31 at the Palace of Versailles, him and his piano, alone in the gardens with the fireworks. For him who played in this park as a child it was incredible. he asked the film crews to stop making noise to enjoy this magic for 2 minutes we were lucky to have a lot of stories, professional and personal. He explained about the title of the album, how the songs were born, the tour... I'll let you discover it in the show. Then he sang "C'est la Vie" and you will see on the Maritima video, we were in the 1st row, with @tatianamikafan @athe.mika17 and @julia.chba, he approached the edge of the platform and if he had stretched out his arms and I stretched out mine, I would touch him. Very very nice moment. Finally, we were able to take a photo with him by a security guard, we were only allowed one (I got 3 from my friend!), it was timed and moreover as I spoke to him, we we were told to stop so others could take turn. we enjoyed each other's company and that was extraordinary. A hug from Mika is priceless!!! On the other hand, he was not allowed to sign anything for any of us; it doesn't matter, I'll do it during the tour, hehehe. In any case, I confirm that Mika is a caring, gentle, smiling man, who arrived quite shy and who relaxed over time. the public was unanimous in saying that he was a very caring and human man. He made a good impression on those who didn't know him. Thank you Mika, you are a sweetheart There you go, I hope you have as much fun as I did while watching the show on Saturday.
  11. I'm willing to translate it but I have to find time to do it. I can't do subbed videos by myself but I will start doing a written translation in English tonight in a post here and update it as I do it.
  12. @mellodyI'm still in tears. You understood well. It was so moving I feel the same but you found the words @Kumazzz Thank you for sharing the interview Eriko
  13. Awesome Deb In case you some are missing and if you need me just let me know I'll be happy to help
  14. I was thinking it would be nice to have a thread for Mika songs lyrics translations but maybe there are translations included in the comprehensive lyrics thread for songs that are not in English already? I don't remember
  15. What do you mean by SM? Sure we can pass out the translated lyrics, but maybe Mika's tech team could project them as well ( I know it is done for Shakeaspeare plays in theaters sometimes so it is technically possible ) Social Media right?
  16. I am pretty sure he will keep singing his "classics" in English both in French speaking countries and in other countries. A whole setlist with new songs in French is not likely at all. A few French songs from the new album like C'est la vie and Apocalypse Calypso and the other singles for sure but given that he only sings Live Your Life in Spanish speaking countries and Domani in Italian speaking countries he really selects his songs depending on where he sings. Of course as the album is out in less than a month and his new tour starts in spring we as fans will be familiar with his new album songs, but if he sang only them (even only in French speaking countries ) it would be very strange My perfect setlist would include Tomorrow, Good Wife, Origin of Love, Underwater, Apocalypse Calypso, San Remo, Tiny Love, Talk about you, I went to hell last night, Good gone girl, Les baisers perdus, Live your Life, Domani, Who's gonna love me now, Kids and probably C'est la vie...but I probably forgot many
