I think it is normal to love the main characters first. You meet them again and again. You know a lot of them and their personality and their whim. Its like meeting a good old friend! Isn't it? Thihih, Perhaps we should suggest Mika to read Terry Pratchett instead of Edgar Allan Poe?? But honestly I think it is a common phrase and Terry and Mika used it. I went to 3 gigs: 30-10-2007 - Frankfurt/Germany, 12-11-2007 - Esch/Luxembourg and the one in London Brixton 26-02-2008. Every single gig was awesome and special! My husband was with me in Frankfurt and London. He loved it too! In Esch I was with a friend. Whats about you? Perhaps I saw you in London and didn't know?

Well its very late to reply to this but I have to say my husband isn't watching the Mika's blogs freely! I'm mostly that excited that he has to listen to me when I tell him all what Mika writes or I make him watching the blogs:naughty: But my husband is very patient with me and my Mika obsession:wink2: Lucky me!

OMG Reading books is one of my greatest obsession! I read very different stuff, but I have a lot favs which I read again and again. Currently I read The Lord Of The Ring Trilogy (once again). Of course I love The Hobbit too and The Silmarillion was very intersting! I'm addicted to Terry Pratchett! I'm not sure which book I love the most of his discworld novels. But The Wintersmith is definitive one of my favs. (If you know the books around Tiffany:wub2: you will notice my siggie:wink2: ) I love Jane Austen, John Irving and Rita Mae Brown and her stories of Mrs. Murphy. I'm obsessed with crime thriller - Agatha Christie, Ake Edwardson, Edgar Allen Poe, Jacques Berndorf or Andrea Camilleri and so much more. Of course I love Harry Potter. I'm sure I forgott a lot:blush-anim-cl:

Its very difficult to make a decision. The characters are all very unique and fantastic. But Sam Vimes and Granny Weatherwax were to special to love them not. Oh really? You live near the Uffington horse? Oh wow, thats wonderful. No I wasn't there before. My first trip to England was because of a Mika gig in London this year. But I would love to see it and to see more of England of course! Did you know Mika quote a sentence from a discworld novel? He said in one of his blog "The possibilities are endless!" And Moist said the same nearly at the end of "Making money" as he spokes about money which could talk! I didn't notice it! It was my husband. Hi, my name is Ela and I'm diskworldoholic:wink2: It was my boyfriend who infected me with Terry Pratchett and the Diskworld novels. As a punisment I married him. I don't read all Diskworld books yet but I'm sure I will made it. My problems are that I read the most in my mother tongue German. So it could be I know other names for the books and characters. Please be patient with me. Since 2 years I'm try to improving my English with reading books. Any books? Nooo! Mostly Diskworld novels. To read them in two language doubled the fun and the amount of the books:naughty:! And I can answer to the question concernig the translation of the jokes. It depends who translate the jokes. But honestly its better to read it in the original language. Its so much funnier. Some things are simply impossible to translate. I love all characters of the diskworld but some a bit more than others: Granny Weatherwax, Sam Vimes (I looove the guards), Captain Carrot and Angua, Lord Vetinari, Susan Sto Helit, DEATH, Tiffany Aching and the Nac Mac Feegles, Moist von Lipwig......to be continue. I'm happy Obama won this election. Its a good sign. He will for sure not be able to change so much as we may wish. Its a really hard work and needs for sure more time than 4 years. But only to see the american people dared to vote for a young and non white man gives me so much hope for the world. Congrats Obama! Sometimes I'm proud of the human race.
