  1. It would be a heavy burden, but I think I would be willing to take that risk.lol I would be more than happy to take one off of your hands *crosses fingers*
  2. Please Please Plllleease, won't someone share an extra copy with a geographically challenged(yet just as devoted)of a fan, over here in the ol' US??? You guys get all the good stuff! I have paypal aswell...
  3. I agree, I mean don't get me wrong either, it's pretty remarkable how one guy can take one album of songs and somehow make every single show just a little bit different from the last. But, for me there is just something amazing about that KOKO performance. I mean I've only seen it on youtube sadly, but nothing compares to that one for me. I guess its just that one really reminds you of why you became a fan in the first place. It's simplicity is what made it beautiful. Personally I would LOVE to have the ability to have an actual copy of that show.*hint hint*lol
  4. I thought it was going to be a joke about that rumor last week that said zac didn't take showers on a regular basis.
  5. Have you all seen these before?? I just randomly stumbled upon them:thumb_yello:
  6. These guys are the best in my opinion:thumb_yello: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6zlSYkjyuk Best cover of Grace Kelly...period.
  7. Here in the U.S. last August they played Love Today for about a month, once a day(eventhough they play every other video 10 times a day) at 5am. So therefore I think that he should get an award for most obscure timeslot for a video. Thanks alot MTV:mf_rosetinted:
  8. Oh I'm sadly already VERY used to it.lol I've been lurking around here everyday since the very beginning, but just recently started posting here and there. I guess it's just inevitable that when he's not out on tour or anything, we all just seem to gravitate back to the same old stories and rehash them over and over again. The only good thing about it is that the longer the stories keep going the weirder and more entertaining they get along the way!
  9. Thats it! I think Mika should stay indoors and not interact with anyone from the outside world ..until july:mf_rosetinted: Because I don't think that I can take many more of these weird/bored/overanalyzing conversations! lol
  10. Sometimes I can't even believe what he has accomplished so far, especially here in the U.S.,with what little promotion he gets, but deserves more than the majority of the useless people that get more than enough of it. Can you imagine how amaaazingly popular he might be if was actually promoted properly?
  11. So Freddie, does this mean that you are part of this "small team" that he has formed? (therefore, giving him the ability to know exactly how "dangerous" we all are) But in a good way of course, lol, because only you would know how to help indulge our basic activities that borderline on insanity
  12. Well I'm definately not one of those Americans contributing to this manufactured Simon Cowell product of the month. So don't blame me!! lol You know what really makes me mad about the whole thing? When they talk about her and promote her over here they always say RECORDBREAKING artist and that automatically makes me say "well if that is such an amazing accomplishment, why didn't you give the one that broke the record first a chance!!" Americas taste in music never ceases to amaze me(in the worst way possible) But, this is also something that we need to learn from and remember when Mika's album (estimated release date: 20ohgodisithereyet)comes out because we have to request him and promote him constantly THE WEEK of the album release because thats sadly how it works here, shove it continuously down americans throats, tell them they need to buy it, and tada! #1 .
  13. I truely think that the reason that Mika isn't played in America is because apparently if we don't have something shoved in our faces in commercials or on repeat constantly on the radio we don't know what to buy. Look at how it seems to work here, when someone has an album coming out, they have their music playing in 100 commercials that month(Janet Jackson,Sara Bareilles,Mariah, etc.)then they always end up having very succesful albums here, and honestly I think thats pathetic on our part that they have to tell us what to buy. But sadly at the same time, I also believe that during that time they used his album cover in all of those IPOD ads, if they would have used one of his songs it probably would have worked, but I guess we'll never know. So, I guess all of this rambling comes down to the reason we all sit around here everyday asking "Why doesn't he get airplay in America??' it probably just sadly comes down to the fact that the majority of Americans can't like something that they don't even know exists. Now when it comes to Leona, well the fact that she was just on The Tonight Show a couple nights ago and I hear her MANY times a day on the radio here and I emailed the same radio station everyday asking them to play Mika but they never did:thumbdown: And then you have the BIG advantage ..OPRAH! The power of Oprah*sigh*. It's not so much that I hope that Leona completely fails here, it's just that everytime I hear her or see her I automatically think about who should have gotten all of this attention for being a recordbreaker in the FIRST PLACE! I mean c'mon let's face it, if we knew that Mika had an opportunity to be on that show, we would be thrilled with the publicity, but we are just going to have to wait and have faith that in the end TRUE PURE AMAZING BEAUTIFUL TALENT will prevail.
  14. Attention Americans! lol Just to give you a heads up, I was just looking at the TV schedule for tonight and on BBCAmerica they listed the Brit Awards for tonight at 8pm eastern. I'm just telling you all that have that channel because, sadly I don't:thumbdown: So I'm doing this for you people! lol Happy Recording!
  15. Oh great!!! If he has gotten her a slot on Oprah then we might as well prepare ourselves here in the states for her immediate success. Because as we all know, if you get on the Oprah show, you will sell a TON of records:thumbdown: Look at Josh Groban for example(who I love by the way,so no offense Josh!lol) anyway, when he put his Christmas album out last year, it was selling just fine, and then he performed on Oprahs Favorite Things episode and it became the biggest selling album of the YEAR!!! The power of Oprah*sigh*. It's not that I hope that Leona completely fails here, it's just that everytime I hear her or see her I automatically think about who should have gotten all of this attention for being a recordbreaker in the FIRST PLACE! I mean c'mon let's face it, if we knew that Mika had an opportunity to be on that show, we would be thrilled with the publicity, but we are just going to have to wait and have faith that in the end PURE AMAZING BEAUTIFUL TALENT will prevail.
  16. Hey neighbor!!!lol Wow, it feels kinda weird to have someone else in the area who knows what the heck I'm talking about. But I'm not complaining:punk: I wonder how many of us there are around here and we don't even know it.*ponders, then runs to radio station*
  17. I have "politely informed"lol my local radio stations here in East Tennessee pretty much every single day by e-mail, and each email would contain more reasons why they should play him, but sadly they have either written my name down as a potential threat or they have just completely ignored me all together. I think you're all right that we are just going to have to start CALLING the radio stations and not just casually asking if they could maybe play him if they have the time, but to just flat out ask them WHY DON'T YOU PLAY HIM??? And not just let it go if they can't give you an answer. I truely think that the reason that he isn't played in America is because apparently if we don't have something shoved in our faces in commercials or on repeat constantly on the radio we don't know what to buy. Look at how it seems to work here, when someone has an album coming out, they have their music playing in 100 commercials that month(Janet Jackson,Sara Bareilles,Jack Johnson, etc.)then they always end up having very succesful albums here, and honestly I think thats pathetic on our part that they have to tell us what to buy. But sadly at the same time, I also believe that during that time they used his album cover in all of those IPHONE ads, if they would have used one of his songs it probably would have worked, but I guess we'll never know. So, I guess all of this rambling comes down to the reason we all sit around here everyday asking "Why doesn't he get airplay in America??' it probably just sadly comes down to the fact that the majority of Americans can't like something that they don't even know exists. WE HAVE TO CHANGE THIS!!!!
  18. Hey, c'mon people! When did we all become so negative around here?? We are supposed to say "Of course he has a chance to win!!" I mean think about it like this, all of the other people in that catagory are played an annoying amount of times everyday on the radio here in the U.S. and he's sadly not:thumbdown: so, can you imagine the shock everyone would get if he won over all those other artists! It would be the sweetest victory yet. And besides, even if he doesn't win, you can still say "Grammy nominated artist MIKA" when you harass you're local radio station asking them to play him(not that I've ever done that.)
  19. Stephen King Ranks Year's Best Music Photos AP Photo Thu Nov 29, 6:51 PM ET Stephen King's taste in music is more eclectic than scary. The best-selling author reveals his seven picks for the "best albums of the year" in Entertainment Weekly's Dec. 7 issue. "In truth, your Uncle Stevie was disappointed with this year's new music, very disappointed indeed, and his year-end list reflects that," King writes. "I could only find seven albums I wanted to mention ..." His No. 1 pick is Steve Earle's "Washington Square Serenade," followed by Wilco's "Sky Blue Sky," Mika's "Life in Cartoon Motion" and Lyle Lovett and His Large Band's "It's Not Big It's Large." Of Lovett's album, King says: "This is a terrific Texas swing album, but of course not everybody likes Texas swing (or even knows what it is). What makes it special is Lovett's vermouth-dry vocals and his equally dry wit." King's fifth choice is Ozzy Osbourne's "Black Rain" "finest heavy metal record of the year; a true speaker-buster" followed by John Fogerty's "Revival" and Southern Culture on the Skids' "Countrypolitan Favorites."
