  1. Excellent news Well done to all the contributors, who really have made this site the friendliest and most comprehensive place to discuss Mika and his music.
  2. Ah, I'm glad to see there actually some sanity in this place, despite all indications otherwise
  3. Yep, he did. He also joined the MFC, and this is the post where he explained all about it http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showpost.php?p=652120&postcount=25
  4. I hope this isn't taken as an indication by some Mika fans that they need to purchase more copies of "When you believe" xD Hmm...I'm guilty of herding my chewing gum at times, I must admit. Although if I'm in a circle where one person has particularly bad breath, I target them by offering it all around.
  5. ... X Factor winner Leon Jackson has revealed that he was left starstruck when he met Mika recently. The Scottish singer has just returned to the UK after visiting Dubai to perform at a Sony BMG party. "It was amazing - the setting was beautiful, and the stage area where I performed was set up like a jazz bar," Leon explained on his online blog. "Bumped into MIKA!" he continued. "Sat beside him in an airport buggy and he gave me two pieces of blue Extra. Amazing!!" Leon has also been working hard on his debut album, which is expected to be released later this year. He revealed that he had visited Stockholm to work on tracks for the LP. The 19-year-old concluded his blog entry by thanking his fans for their continued support: "Just want you all to know that I've not forgotten bout you's. And I appreciate all your support and love you all." http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/xfactor/a88516/leon-jackson-is-left-starstruck-by-mika.html
  6. Yep, a guy auditioned and sang Grace Kelly at last year's X Factor.
  7. Yeah, I read that too this morning. It makes no sense at all, unless "area" in some twisted way denotes his musical influences, hence the second sentence... If they want to include something on Mika, it may as well be decent
  8. It's NME, they're hardly going to nominate him for anything positive. They were probably itching to mention him in a vaguely insulting light, so fished around for the closest plausible award.
  9. It does take...some time to get used to, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a monstrosity
  10. I don't see anyone going for the taboild favourite "flamboyant"
  11. I think Mika looks great in suits
  12. In the UK, it is generally seen as very expensive, yes. Most students go to non-fee paying school (whether they be normal state ones or grammar schools), and those who go to other private schools usually pay less than 10k a year. Schools like Eton, Westminster and Winchester charge more because they're seen as traditionally "elite" and exclusive.
  13. Peaches Geldof. A waste of space, but then again I suppose most of us have some redeeming qualities... Alexa Chung could go on the list too. And possibly Matt Bellamy from Muse.
  14. And midgets and lots of naked dancers, lol xD
  15. Haha, yeah it kinda does. Still, if everyone who took the time to sign up actually voted, that would be 8000 straight away
  16. I wonder what his reaction would be if he heard the whole "They kept trying to mould me into someone like Craig David, and I was so fed up of it that I went home and wrote Grace Kelly" story
  17. Yeah, that's incredibly irritating, and I think it's simply due to the fact that it's so easy to take cheap shots at Mika, whether that be at his style or music. This whole thing should be about promoting the artists in a generally positive, consistent light, so that people can make their own decisions. By having a band with a decent-sized following state that they hate him (and no similar comments being made about other artists), you're already influencing many of the voters to make their minds up against him, which is unfair.

  19. lol no, I don't think so, otherwise the "Big Girl" song would already have been interpreted as meaning that he was attracted to girls. I think he's just expressing approval for "big" people either way. As for your other question...hmm, the answer doesn't really make sense . He just seems to be demonstrating what a big girl looks like!
