  1. Interaction ? With Mica ? On Twitter ? So far what I've read there from him has been one-sided rambling and he hardly ever answers tweets from his fans, celebrities excluded. But then I don't spend much time browsing Twitter, let alone tweet. As for the constant complaining I think it can be mainly blamed on the fact that he has always boasted of being a control freak who demands to have a say in everything connected to his work. People tend to trust him, to believe, sometimes a little naively, what he says. His lies -if any- are hardly their responsibility. Marie-Thérèse
  2. Thanks for the link ! I hope we can meet there and paint the elephants buttocks red, if not the whole venue... which is already decorated in red, so better stick to the elephants rear end. M.-Th.
  3. Sorry, short memory going -long memory will soon follow suit, not doubt... and don't worry, we'll manage somehow to be right under the elephants butts ! Babs must have received the pic I was referring to. Will soon post it, we can count on her. M.-Th.
  4. 'on topic' ... animal, mineral or vegetable ? You know that the forums language is English, if you want to use an exotic one, just start a special thread, will you ! Marie-Thérèse
  5. It was a view of the venue before a show, much more revealing than their crappy seating plan. I'm sorry, I don't know how to attach a picture here, only to an email, but I can send you the photo and then you can post it here, can't you ? Just PM me your email address. Marie-Thérèse
  6. Marina, you are a genius ! It actually worked and it's brilliant . Thank you so much ! Marie-Thérèse
  7. Casting error... actually all French cops are baaaad ! ABT the Cirque d'Hiver, I am bawling too . I came across a view of the venue with area A, B and C -category 1, 2 and 3 for our sandbag tickets, very likely- and it would seem that area B is farther from the stage than area A... doesn't make sense, when I went to watch a circus show I always took the best seats and they were just under the elephants buttocks . Plus I read on the CDH site 'opening of the doors 3/4 of an hour before the show and free sitting inside each area'. Shall we have to queue up for ages, again ? Even before experiencing it for good reserved seat had already grown on me big time ! Marie-Thérèse
  8. If we are not far from each other -I bought an area 1 ticket- I will lend you a friendly shoulder to weep on but you are probably going to stop crying the moment Mica jumps on stage ... Marie-Thérèse
  9. Lucky you, I wish I could have watched one single second of it ! Marie-Thérèse
  10. Thank you, dear ! A good friend of mine had already emailed the link to me but it stays hopelessly blank, refusing to start either on utube or through Mikasounds... any explanation ? Marie-Thérèse
  11. 'If only I were'... most people have forgotten about that correct use of the preterit and I always feel a bit snobbish when I use it. Obviously even very young people still speak and write that way.

Same thing with 'as' at the beginning of a clause instead of 'like', which one hears all the time.

Good for you ! The English language is so beautiful, it should be kept unadulterated.

  12. Nooooo ! I remember waiting for my passport before the Beirut gig and not knowing until a couple of days before the flight if I would receive it on time... I was frantic ! You ARE referring to the NYC gig, aren't you ? Because ID card is OK for the UK which, incidentally, is in the European Union, even if it is not always obvious . Marie-Thérèse
  13. QUOTE=LeiRe;2311787] Nothing wrong at all... Who knows? As for sitting on the pianist/lead singer's lap, I am not sure : on the one hand I am so slim and small that he would hardly notice me, on the other hand he obviously prefers more buxhom women... Anyway just a front row stalls would make me very happy indeed ! Marie-Thérèse
  14. You are most welcome, that's what fans are for, helping each other out, isn't it ? There will be loads of desperate people outside the theatre but beware, they are very strict at Sadler's Wells about selling tickets outside the venue, so be discreet, like all good professional dealers ! Marie-Thérèse
  15. Have you been fixed, ticketwise, for the Sadler's wells gig ?

    Marie-Thérèse

  16. Have you been fixed, ticketwise, for the Sadler's wells gig ?

    Marie-Thérèse

  17. I am sure you have been fixed by now, but if not PM me and I'll try to help you out. I can imagine flying over to Beirut -the farthest I have gone so far for a M gig- and even more expensive than crossing the pond- and finding myself miles from the stage and I can imagine what it must feel like ! Marie-Thérèe
  18. I think your friend should email them, I had the same pb at Brixton Academy and only the help of a lovely man from M's entourage saved me from watching the show outside the theatre . Marie-Thérèse
  19. Did I read properly  ? Will the NYC gig be your first M experience :wub2: ?

Please report, it is always great to be made happy vicariously, reading what people felt then :huglove: .

    ENJOY :dance_man::swoon: !

    Marie-Thérèse

  20. I had a look on MKS just for the hell of it as I won't go, and found out that the gig was sold out... The venue looks brilliant though, the happy 700 people who will be there will have a very special experience but then are not all M gigs very special ? Marie-Thérèse
  21. Hello !

Looking forward to seeing you and Babs again on June 8th. And meeting a few other MFCers for the first time.

I came across a post from you lately about the so called privileges of people who go to many gigs, or cross the pond, or the Mediterranean, or, why not, the whole planet.

I find it deplorable that you should feel the need to justify your choices. FFS, can't people, as we French put it 'take care of their own buttocks' !

Not that yours are uninteresting, I am sure they are absolutely gorgeous, but they are nobody's business apart from yourself, your hubby and possibly a couple of lovers but that's classified information :naughty: .

I got that kind of reaction when I came back from Beirut, very naively happy to share the Press Conference vid with other MFCers and was soon envied for going to that very special place to watch that very special gig.

I had first the guts to go there -two months before people were enthusiastically shooting each other in the streets- and I spent over one month's salary -hard earned money.

Still I was deemed 'privileged', as you have repeatedly been on the forums.

Is is more sad than annoying as envy is a feeling that gnaws away at people's minds, not those who are its target but those who experience it.

When, after meeting you in London, I became interested in your posts, I thought : this woman is as mad as I am about music, never : the lucky bitch is f...ing bursting with money. And if you are, your luck is not my curse or my loss, it has nothing to do with me.

I even posted a couple of times to try and explain to 'reasonable' and critical MFCers that it was a matter of priorities and that, as far a we knew, you hadn't stolen the money you use to go to M gigs. To no avail, I'm afraid.

Seriously, you're not going to the NYC gig ? I am very disappointed in you, Sara :emot-sad: !

    See you then,

    Marie-Thérèse

  22. Well, obviously some people are gagging to be called 'decadent' by Mica . I truly believe that after being struck by restricting orders Sara should be banned from the MFC, she is such a bad influence here ! Marie-Thérèse
  23. Sorry, it is a shame... when you have seen seven year olds with Mica's magic in their starry eyes, you can't help thinking that they could have found a better act than strippers to open the night and let youngsters enjoy ! Marie-Thérèse
