    I have a Nikon D3100 with a 18-55mm kit lens - it's my first one, and it was recommended for beginners. I want to get better lenses for it, so i can do wildlife and macros better, but I need to learn the basics first, and I need a job to pay for them :teehee:

    I took it at RHS Wisley Gardens - it's part of a border desgined by Piet Oudolf who is a well-known dutch garden designer :biggrin2:

    Poor Grandma :sad: I'm glad she's sorted and i hope she feels better soon :thumb_yello:My mum had all sorts of pills & potions to keep her going, and my dad survived a heart attack and a cancer op 5 years ago, and is now reasonably fit for nearly 90 :shocked::aah: I'm glad I live in the 21st century where these things are possible :biggrin2:

     

    The last album I bought was an obscure little album by some curley-headed bloke :mf_rosetinted:

    I don't normally buy pop music. I have a huge collection of classical music but I don't seem to need any more :biggrin2:

    Dad rang this afternoon to say he was feeling better, so fingers crossed he will be OK soon :biggrin2:

     

    Try smiling nicely at i-tunes. Computers react badly to angry electrical impulses from your brain - they mess up the circuits. Smiling has the opposite effect :thumb_yello:

     

    Will Young's OK - nice boy, professional - he's so bland though (and sounds a bit like a sheep sometimes :teehee:) He's not a genius like Mika :no:

    Hi Weezey

     

    I had a bloomin awful weekend :sad: Funeral on Friday (uncle), locked out of house on Saturday (£100 emergency locksmith) and dad fell down an escalator on Sunday and now is a bit bruised and can't move about very easily. Not a weekend I want to repeat :no:

     

    I hope yours was much better - your canal holiday sounded fun:thumb_yello:

     

    I don't know about January yet - I'm not planing too far ahead at the moment :aah: It would be lovely to meet you and your mum :biggrin2:

    I heard the opening and thought "Plastic Bertrand" Not my favourite Mika song - too dancy and over-produced for me. I prefer Mika "au naturelle"
